One person said these sound like shit. I've been mixing for 20 years. I'm just now learning to scratch. I need to replace my N-447's. Im thinking of either the VNL's, Concorde scratch mk2 or concorde digitals. I scratch on a dvs a lot, but I also like to mix and listen to albums, and mix my old vinyls bangers. Any advice from anyone? Oh. Also my technique 1200 tonearm height is locked, and i might not be able to fix that. Rn the height sits a little too low for the short bottom end of an N447 to sit flush at 2.5 grams. Im hoping to buy new carts i love thar dont require me trying to fix the arm height.

That pretty much raps it up! I don't own one, but I've always said if I had to get one, the Rev 7 would be my choice. I have 1200s and Rane 12's, so I'm tapped out. I have an S11 and Rane 70. But I'm really thinking about getting one just for bragging rights even tho I don't need it. My neighbor just bout one, and he's a beginner dj. But after watching me over the years, he bought a $250 controller, and it had a hum/buzz in it. I told him it was the sound card, and I took my Rane 70 over one day and he heard no hum/buzz. A few days later, we bumped into each other outside, and he opened his truck door and surprised me that he had gone all out! from $250 to $2000! I told him, "Dammit boy! You went from grade school and went straight to law school. 😂

Hmmmmm you mention on the 11 plastic feel. As in the RANE all metal. My opinion Rane it’s better. As. I also find any pioneer dj gear. Over loaded with features. That really have no use But at the end of the day. Is optional on which mixer. A dj feels more comfortable with. Thanks for this video 👍 it’s appreciated

Them ortofon needles better then my reloop ortofon needles. My technics 1200 mk2 with reloop ortofon keep jumping every time i try to scratch on vinyl. Two hundred dollars down the drain for me😮💨 My old stanton 680 was much better on my Technics 1200. Now i got to save up again in see how these ortofon needles they mixing with on there technics 1200 Will perform on my turntables🙏🏾

Great review, I’ve had my S7 for a month now, Is there any way I can use the paddles like a transform switch for scratching? So basically flick down for in & back up for off, if that makes any sense 😊
@coolhandlex5 ай бұрын
On the S11, what you’re looking for is called the “kill” effect (s/o DJ Zimmie). I don’t know if it’s on the S7 though, but check for that!

great review!! Honestly Rane broke my trust by discontinuing support for the 62 while pioneer still supports their mixers of the same year. So I'm out of the Rane ecosystem for good.

Love how you disregard the 2000 for DjIng. Yes, for scratching you need a higher torque, but for mixing dance music, you don't need half the torque that super OEMs like the 4000 have (hence why a lot of dance DJs who mix vinyl use technics).

hi, please tell me how good and durable the channel faders are in s11, I heard that for example in s7 they are not reliable and can fail, I wonder if in s 11 they are the same as in s 7 or a class higher and is it difficult to change them if they break ? Thank you
@Deckademics6 ай бұрын
The faders in the s11 are of higher quality than the S7, as well as being easier to swap in the event you should need to

I would like to ask about the channel faders on the s11, how reliable are they in this model, unlike the s7, and are they easy to replace if they break on the s11? I heard that the s7 has graphite faders and they can quickly fail, who knows please tell me , thanks

Man do I appreciate this! Most of my casino gigs have an S11 in use and I have been a avid Pioneer user for over 25 years BUT I just received a 72 with a pair of Twelves and I am pretty impressed with that setup as well. This was a very fair comparison in my opinion and thank you again!

I've heard about the fluttering of audio playback while using the slowest levels of ultra pitch and I got one with the same problem. Is there any remedy for this? Would a firmware update help this??.. i think not. Any ideas? It's the only problem with this otherwise great table, imo. Seriously, amy answers?
