I'm confused about inserting oneself in the text because I thought that we cannot use We agree/think or I think etc

It depends on your discipline. In the sciences you wouldn’t use “I” but “we” is often used. But you can insert your voice without “I” or “we” by adding hedges or boosters and the way you develop your argument.

Anyone in Art History can share how they came up with their research problem? I can only think of doing research on a field because it was not full explored, but I don't think of it as a problem. Thankyou

Extremely helpful. At the coursework level this is beaten out of us. Then at ABD level we struggle to find our voice again during dissertation and your chair gets frustrated.

Thank you for this video. Can you offer what goes into the proposal as "part of it?" Like an abstract, introduction, research concern, delimitations... and what is important to include in each section without repetition? Thanks.
