I always chuckle when I see a mechanic ooohhhing and ooowwing all while they have a lift along with the best tools money can buy while I'm doing the same jobs in my driveway using Jack and Jack stands but the worst part is I'm in the rust belt. If i were west or south with a lift I'd be laughing at every bolt i bust loose. Yall west coast and down south mechanics got it easy. I couldn't drop an exhaust without a hackzall or torch, not a chance on a car over 5-7 yrs old

good video nice job... from an old retired auto service tech. I would like to ask you I have a toyota matrix 2010 and I replaced the charcoal canister assy, which includes the vent solenoid and leak det. pump. The codes I had went away but after a few days and filling the car with fuel the cel came on with new codes p043,p043f,p2401,p2402,p2419. the unit I bought was brand new from toyota canada,its cost me $375. 2 years ago. One thing I noticed after changing the part is that when I go to fuel the car the fuel nozzle keeps shuting off after maybe 15 seconds, then I have hold the fuel nozzle on again and it shuts off like its a full tank but it is not! any suggestions, could the vent solenoid be stuck closed? Thank you for any help you can provide. God Bless you.

Great video and job. Where you located(lol)?? Dealership wants $4100.... i was like wtf... they already got me for the vvt solenoids, which already replaced myself and the Subaru Tech said they were no good, so paid $1100 for that and now they want to change the sprockets. Gonna have to start robbing banks, or gigoloing the old ladies at the retirement center.

Hi have the same car 3.5 V6, Accord with 88K and the dealer tells me I have an oil pump seal leak($1500), can that be changed while the timing belt job is done, is it in the same area, and, how much more time/ labor would to change oil pump seal. Otherwise, it's $1500 for the oil pump seal and $1500 for the timing belt job if done separately. Thank you.
@daveclark83378 күн бұрын
Those jobs definitely overlap and should be done at the same time. Doing the oil pump seal involves removing the exhaust and the oil pan, so it's a decent amount more labor involved . But you can't do that oil seal without first removing all the stuff to do the timing belt/ water pump. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKSqc5quba95hac

You don’t have to remove the coolant pipe from both heads. Use superglue on the rear nuts and the studs will come out of the rear head. Leave the pipe attached to the front head.

If emissions are not a concern, would you suggest an EGR valve delete to try and prevent this carbon build up?

Good alternative to Wol, which is not always easy as some people seem to think. The OS also need some tinkering btw. My asrock motherboard let all USB ports powered on when PCI Wake is on (for wol), which is really annoying.

I've been watching a lot of these videos because I know I'm going to have to do this soon. The shift cable disconnect from the shifter looked wayyyy easier than unbolting from the trans like a lot of other do. The only thing I would have done different is to re-grease the pivot ball on the clutch fork.

I just picked up an identical saw, and did some ChatGPT and forum research. As far as I can tell, it's mid to late 1990's. Around 2000 is when they started with the stamped steel wings (one of many things that started to go downhill with the century changeover). It could go back further but I don't know what features would mark it as a 1980's or early 1990's saw.

Hello am new to hybrids brake systems. So i need youe help Am having brake issue with my gen 2 prius.. it was leaking brake fluid on its right rear wheel, so i addressed the issue by replacing the rubber that are on piston and no leakage thereafter. Now the abs light is on, parkbrake and electronic braking system light is on too.. this making only rear brakes to work and i dont have front brakes... i have tried to reset the codes by using scanning tool but also by jumping pin 4 and 13 on obd2 port still the codes haven't gone.. I had the code for low brake fluid, low accumulator pressure, and i topped up the fluid, when i press the brake pedal, brake are normal,not hard but only rear brake work. What should I do to get my front brake back and regenerative braking system to work and at the same time making all fault lights related to brake system to switch off. Note ( though i did get the code for low accumulator pressure, the abs motor is working and brake feel as it should. And I don't suspect any internal abs leakage as the motor is operating in expected routine/frequency, and time intervals.)
