Are there any other good sites to use for finding jobs that will sponsor security clearance. Clearance jobs won't allow you to make an account and apply for jobs unless you already have clearance.

I’m new to your channel! You lost some weight and look amazing. Can you provide some tips on what you did because I need to lose a lot of weight
@KimCompleteАй бұрын
I've honestly struggled with my weight my whole life. I had been dealing with a lot of health issues at that time which contributed to weight loss from low appetite. I also was stressing less after leaving an unhealthy relationship. Lately I have been eating a mostly vegan diet and exercising a bit when I have the energy, that has helped a lot!

What type of remote jobs are there
@KimCompleteАй бұрын
A quick Google search will show tons of possibilities. It matters more what type of work you are interested in. That will help narrow down your search. Best of luck!

My son just graduated college with his masters. He was offered a job pending security clearance that took a few months. The clearance was granted, or past, but job was rescinded due to not having an engineer degree. Virtual interview there was a misunderstanding because he has his masters in engineering management, but his degree is in mathematics and economy. My question is how does he access his security clearance to show potential employers that he has clearance? Thank you for your help signed exhausted father.

The FSO
@KimComplete6 ай бұрын
I am so sorry to hear about the job, that is very frustrating. If the clearance was completely processed, it will still be in the database. As another user suggested, I recommend he contact the FSO (Security Officer) who he worked with to obtain the clearance originally. They will be able to explain everything to him. Some versions of a clearance are "universal" meaning it can be applied to another job at a different company, but sometimes certain agencies will process a clearance again from scratch because they have different requirements/eligibility standards. I hope this helps. Kudos to you for supporting your son through this!
@jawandabrown79946 ай бұрын
Hi, is getting your ID/ badge the last step in the clearance process??
@KimComplete6 ай бұрын
Most agencies will issue a CAC (Common Access Card) which gives you access to buildings and equipment like your GFE laptop during your first week on the job. Once the clearance processes, your credentials are updated on that card allowing additional access. Like an upgrade. I hope that helps.

Hello Kim, How are you? How did you prioritize and manage your time to learn to be a web developer? I believe you taught yourself! How did you stay focused and committed?

Is public trust really a clearance ? I do have a public trust as software engineer contractor as Booz Allen Hamilton. How long does the the clearance stay before it got expired ?
@KimComplete6 ай бұрын
I think the public trust is "technically" a clearance, but it's the lowest/easiest version to obtain. The higher level of clearance, the more valuable you are to potential employers as you have been vetted to handle more sensitive data. Expiration dates can be changed from time to time so I always recommend checking with your FSO to see when yours expires. You can also Google the current validity time.

what are good jobs to apply for entry level workers and have no experience but has a security clearance?
@KimComplete6 ай бұрын
It really depends on the area of focus. For IT, I recommend a help desk support technician, system analyst, or junior developer!

I am on a payment plan for my fed and state taxes, is this going to hurt me on the SF-86?
@KimComplete10 ай бұрын
It shouldn’t. Being on a payment plan is a positive sign that you are handling your obligations. A negative should be more like neglecting debt for years. I am not an expert though, this is my opinion. Just be honest in your application and with your assigned Security Officer, best luck!

So what's the difference between designer & developer?
@KimComplete Жыл бұрын
A designer creates the look of the layout, styling, and shapes the user experience. A developer actually makes the design come to life and tests the usability.
