Hi Kim!! 💖 This is such an amazing giveaway!! Thank YOU for doing this! My favorite resources for learning code recently have been Edx, Codecademy, KZbin, and Mozilla Developer doc’s. I can’t answer the question about how to get first job as a developer, but I hope one day I get to this phase of my coding journey!!! Good luck everyone! ✨

Well I don't use any websites but I just look up on Google like things that I want to put in my mini website like for example I would look up, How to put images, videos, how to change letters size or color and that's actually helping me a lot.

So awesome that you're doing this!! I started my programming/web development journey back in April, shortly after COVID got really bad here in the states. My job went remote and suddenly I had so much time on my hands because everything was in limbo with work/clients etc.. I stumbled upon @ taelur alexis pinned tweet about her coding journey. Motivated me to finally try it out. I've always wanted to get into coding and tech but thought you had to be a math wiz or something. So now a couple months into my journey and my favorite free source is, of course, KZbin! KimComplete: you were one of the first videos I came across that motivated me to do the self taught route Traversy Media FreeCodeCamp (both youtube & the website) Senegoddess The Come Up Mayuko Andy Sterkowitz and so many more. Anytime I feel like I'm starting to lack on my progress, get demotivated, or the imposter syndrome starts to hit, I watch some good 'ole "day in the life of software engineers" type of videos, especially from BIPOC -- because watching those videos motivates me and reminds me that that can/will be me one day, but only if I keep at it. Although this one isn't free (but only $12 when I got it) The Complete 2020 Web Development Bootcamp by Dr. Angela Yu on Udemy has helped me so much on my journey. Definitely recommend. I haven't gotten a job in web dev yet but what I'm planning on doing to potentially get my first role in it is by asking my current company if I can transition into a more coding/developer role (completely different from what I'm doing now) because we really need it. So my advice for that is to use all the resources you have at hand right now, but I understand that might not be the case for everyone. If so -- network, join FB groups, talk to people who are in the field. Speak it into existence that you're gonna be in the field some day. Also, just apply to a TON of jobs, even if you don't meet all the requirements or feel like you're not qualified. It really doesn't hurt to apply and try.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE OPPORTUNITY. 1. I have had the best experience with code academy. 2. My best tip would be to invision the job or kinds of interviews you would want and how you would want then to go. This helps place you in the head space and a positive mindset bc it is something that is more tangible to you. And in a world we're are thoughts impact are reality . What could be more important? Love the channel and everything you done🧡🧡🧡

Hi, Free resource: SoloLearn and KZbin ProTip: I’m not there yet, but if I were in that position I would say having confidence in your portfolio and all the work you’ve done. Also, to listen to podcasts or watch videos of people who have already shared their experience for landing a job.

My favorite resources that I've used to learn coding are: KZbin, Codecademy and W3schools.com. I attempted my self-taught coding journey earlier this year and it was so overwhelming. I decided to enroll in a bootcamp, but I still refer to Codecademy and other resources for assitance.

My advice to anyone on this journey is this....1. don't compare your coding journey to anyone else's. 2. Do you research. 3. build projects after coding bootcamp. 4. Look up software developer or web developer job descriptions and try to mirror those requirements. 5. Be patient. 6. Be yourself and have fun! The life of a developer is awesome!

Hello Kim, I haven't watched much of your videos but one thing I can say from what I have observed and what I believe. That you have a very good vibe which helps us to really stick to the video and to gain a tone of value from your content. Thank you so much for being there :) 1. My top free resource: KZbin And FreeCodeCamp 2. My top Tip to get your first job: I haven't get that first job. So, I think I am not a person who can answer this question. But what I have learned from other resources is that just work on your self i.e build meaningful projects, apply to 1000 companies (Of you preference), work on your communication skills. These were the things that I knew and thought would be worth sharing. Thank you so much everyone for reading till the end.

Codecademy is great& I would recommend to anybody! Has helped me tons and I only have the free version. Can only imagine how helpful the pro version is.. I am still in the learning phase, so I do not have any tips for landing a job but I would recommend learning Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript as I have learned these (still learning JavaScript). Thank you Kim for this opportunity & for all your help through your videos, keep it up!

I’ve been working on my coding for about two years now , but it’s been off and on a lot due to work. My main resources have been Sololearn, Codecademy (free version) and KZbin tutorials. They’ve been plenty helpful in some aspects. Now as to interviews , I haven’t been on any for this field yet. But I would Love to get tips from anyone who has so when the time comes I can look back at all the comments. Love your videos I find them very helpful and I feel as if it’s completely normal that everyone gets in the ‘stuck’ stage. Thank!! I’ll keep watching ❤️

Thank you so so so much for this opportunity! Idk if this is still available bc it's 27 Nov. Sadly for the job part I don't know because I'm just starting this career path, I'm young and just trying to become a self taught web developer. My favourite resources rn are Codecademy, Khan Academy, FreeCodeCamp(their tutorials helped me A LOT) and obviously a lot of youtube and google.

My top free resources are youtube, freecodecamp, and codeacademy. Top tip (from an online article) is to apply to any tech job and with a company that has a development team. That'll get your foot in the door, and you can interact and help the development team workload with your coding skills. Then when the opportunity comes, transfer or apply for the team!
