I live in Jomtien Beach and prepare most of my own meals. I shop only at the huge thai produce and meat market on theppresit rd. It's not a matter of cost, it's a matter of knowing what i am eating. The western food here is garbage, as it is in the west. I eat fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs and meat that I buy daily. I use Lazada for organic peanut butter, honey and coffee and only go to the Foodmart to buy bleach and milk. I probably spend 200 baht per day (or less) on fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and meat. Lazada is about 1,000 baht per month so probably about 8,000 per month on food and I am eating an extremely high protein/high nutrition diet.
@LifewithSerg12 сағат бұрын
That’s awesome! You’ve definitely got this figured out.
@rickciardella12 сағат бұрын
@ I’ve been here for a couple of years. Thai food was leaving me all tingly (from the sugar, salt and msg) and the western food was making me fat. This has just naturally evolved. And Lazada is the bomb.

think you can find out for youreself using the internet wat living there costs there right about the fact that you COULD live for that amount of money , the question is if you want to think if you cook youre own food you could do it at about the same amount as going out for streetfood whatever the budget is in thailand it would definetely be lower than wat i have to spend to live in the netherlands utillities phone inurance taxes rent and food amounts to about 1500 euro / 53.283,00 baht a month and thats without going out or doing anything extra like catching a movie and realy shopping for the lowest costing utillitycosts (gas and electricity are just expensive , rent is realy high aspecially when not renting subsidised now i make that amount because i have a job , if i where to live in thailand i would have some other way to earn money or have enough cash to live out the rest of my life there (should i want to after 3 months of living there)

@LifewithSergКүн бұрын
I fly business class so it’s it not cheap (130k THB round trip). So I spend about 245,000 baht on each month long trip. That includes plane tickets, Airbnb’s, rental cars, meals, hotels, etc..

@LifewithSergКүн бұрын
Yes you can of course get a unit for that. My first condo in Bangkok was right about $500. My point is that those are NOT luxury condos. they are average condos by Bangkok standards for westerners.

People keep telling me Thialand is cheaper than PHI and I live a great life (single) on 600$ with plenty of room to spare. Studio apt 63$ elec 55$ Phone/Intern 42$ Water 5$ I can feed myself on 3-5$ a day no problem. Round trip jeepney to mall for movie with meal 11.00$ Yeah you can live really well, and have monety left over! Of course you can most of the people here do it and they do NOT live in squaller (although some do).

@@mmaranta785 Bangkok to SFO and back. $3800 ANA business class purchased one month in advance. If I purchased it further out, it probably would have been a bit cheaper. This is probably one of the cheapest business class flights for this route. Most others are five or $6000. I’ll have to try something other next time as I have known flown ANA business three times. United and American business class was more expensive and not as good. I really want to try emirates or Singapore airlines but those tickets are closer to about 6000 or $7000.

My heart is overwhelmed by the lifesaving love and generosity that is being provided by Serenity Star. It is desperately needed by so many. Bless you all. ❤❤❤❤
I'm Thai. And even among Thai people, some might say you can live in Bangkok with 500$ while some say you can't. In my opinion, 500$ is possible and it is not difficult to live with just 500$ (rental cost included). So those KZbinrs didn't lie at all. However, no one wants to live in the city like Bangkok spending only 500$. If you limit your expenditure to 500$ a month in Bangkok, your life in Bangkok would be similar to living in average rural areas around Thailand. So what is the point of living in Bangkok without having a little bit of luxury in your life.
@LifewithSerg3 күн бұрын

Hey Serg, good to see you getting back to the States to see family. Always important to keep up with family where possible. If I was to ever go visit Texas I would go for two reasons. One is for a visit to Boca Chica, and having now watched this video then the brand new second reason would be to enjoy a spread of food laid out by your mum!! She did a grand job for Thanksgiving food there so well done to her for making sure you didn't go hungry 😉 just curious, but how have you found the transition from Thai life, food and culture, back to American food etc? Far too much meat for my liking tbh and I reckon if I ended up in America I'd have a heart attack from a meat overdose 😂 Useless fact of the day (triggered by watching you walk around the Congress building library) but my dad wrote a book with a friend of his on American jazz music in film. This was considered such a contribution to American history that copies of the book can be found in the Library of Congress in Washington plus various well known university libraries around the States.

I love going back. Every time I go back it just feels like I’m home again. I can read the signs, I know my way around, it’s not 1,000,000° outside, etc. I moved to Thailand because I wanted a different experience. I might stay for another two years, five years, or for the rest of my life. It’s really kind of open ended as far as the quantities of meat, that’s unlikely to give you heart attacks. It’s all the other processed stuff and heavy carbs that tend to do the damage. I’m not saying that I was eating the healthiest portions of meat, but for this trip, I definitely loaded up. That’s really cool about that book! Such an achievement

I am a Thai who has knowledge about cars. When I was a child, I had a dream to be a Supercar Collectors. When I was a child, I thought that Lamborghini was 10 million baht (290K Dollars). But when I grew up, my dream was shattered when I learned that imported combustion cars cost about 320%. Thai people are taken advantage of a lot. They will buy luxury car brands such as McLaren Artura. The real price is about 16 million baht (480K Dollars). Plug in Hybird cars will only pay 200% tax, but they sell them to us at a starting price of 21 million baht (600K Dollars). And Benz S class in Thailand does not have a rear-wheel steering system like in Europe, even though S Class in Thailand is more expensive. It is probably because the standard in Germany is very important, but in Thailand, it is not. And what Thai people earn is almost impossible to buy a Supercar for only (20-25K Baht) 750 Dollars per month
