I do like the fact that when we see a cool shot of him walking, we know that he stopped, set up the camera, then staged himself walking, turned around and picked up the camera, then kept going. Dude is an excellent cinematographer on top of outdoorsman.

it's even more work to see him canoeing. He landed, framed it, went back out in the canoe and filmed it, then returned to grab the camera. Nice work! Dedication.

I grew up going to temagami every summer. Still go. My dad owns an island out there. Been in his family for over a hundred years. They used to canoe from mainland with all of their supplies to th e island. Now we have a 45 minute boat ride. The place is still entirely off grid. No showers. It’s the most special place in the whole world. Thanks for sharing.

What you've said in the end its spot on. Here in Argentina we have national parks but they are closed to the general public (you can only walk on short trails without leaving them and you can camp only in one or two areas at most, without making fire), and you cant go backcountry camping to other places because everything is private property surrounded by nasty wires and the owners will get you out of there with bullets and hunting dogs. Its a special thing what you guys have in canada and you should protect it at all cost and never let them (politicians and landlords) take it away from you. Loving your videos buddy!

xander! not sure if you remember, but we met at the climbing gym in toronto! I guide canoe trips in temagami at the camp where you put in! I'm super familiar with all the places you went on this trip, makes me so happy to see you paddled in the area where i started canoe trips and now guide! also just wanted to share some info I learned this past summer about the people of this land. Your route travelled through Anishinabewaki and n'Daki Menan (meaning "our land"), the traditional territory of the Temagami First Nation and Teme-Augama Anishinabai (pronounced te-mee-aw-guh-muh)("deep water by the shore people") and Maple Mountain is known as Chee-bay-jing, which means "the place where the spirits go" anyways ya thanks for sharing your trip! I really enjoyed it :)

What a beautiful and unique experience! I've always been an advocate of conservation of nature for nature's sake, but over the last few years I've started learning to fish and forage for food every day. I'm starting to realize now that a meaningful connection to nature that includes food is the real meaning of life. A lot of people are missing out on this essential part of being human these days and that's gotta change.

really enjoyed this one! I like the time spent and the great info and history on your stop-over, What nice folks! The longer trips are a lot of work, but they are the most enjoyable to me.....GOOD JOB

Beautiful. All the way around. And: How fun to spend time with other people who love the same life out in the middle of the wilderness. So relaxing, well done sir.

Xander, listening to you talk about how beautiful the waterfalls are. It made me think, you HAVE to go visit Oregon. There are some astonishing waterfalls. Just absolutely marvelous. You could sit and watch them all day. You have to come visit some time
