For the ladder thing, I know ikamper makes the HC steps which have really good reviews, usually $160 but on sale from their site for like $127ish rn. Makes getting up and down not painful without shoes and makes it easier. Supposedly it’s compatible, read a review saying someone with the roofnest falcon put it on and it worked perfectly.

Hey I'm really considering getting a chevy colorado. Are you still happy with it? And would you buy it again. What problems have you faced so far?

All I’ve had is a leaky coolant hose that all The dealer know about now ! So should be fixed with yours ! I was one of the very first ones to get this new platform and I abuse the hell out of and she’s been dialed ! I would say do it ! Get a Zr2 if you wanna off-road hard core but I make it work Zr2 would just make it easier!

Hey if it helps, I have the equivalent of this from GMC. 2023 Canyon AT4. Before that I had a 2019 Sierra 1500 with same drivetrain. Drove the sierra for 4 years with zero issues whatsoever, so I wasn’t worried about the drivetrain. So far, zero mechanical problems with either truck. GM is doing a great job with this new drivetrain. Lots of diesel tech built into this. It’s relatively simple compared to what ford and Toyota are doing. It just works. It’s not perfect however… as with all these newer vehicles. Too much tech unfortunately. Or maybe just not properly executed. I did have the battery drain issue that people talk about. Basically the remote update from GM triggers something in the electrical system that drains the battery overnight. Extremely annoying. Happened to me 3 times.Luckily, it’s a known issue, and software update from the dealer seems to have fixed it. Mechanically, over the course of 5 years with this drivetrain, zero problems in 2 different trucks. That includes lots of off-road in the newer AT4.

Check under Home -> Settings -> Vehicle -> Remote Lock, Unlock and Start -> Passive Door Lock, for that auto lock setting. Tent looks great! Sleeping 2 with a dog under a cap in the bed had to be a little cramped. haha. Nice scenery too. Maybe one of these days I can get my '23 Colorado Z71 out for a little camping and nice views. Envious.

You seen the wildtopper? It’s basically a soft topper with the ability to have a roof rack as well. I was originally thinking the RSI but the wild topper is like 1/3 the price. Only down side I see if not being able to lock it. Also curious your decision on hard shell vs soft shell. Considering you camp with 2 1/2 a lot of times, the soft shells look like they have more space generally

Nice set up, I personally would just use the cover when it's not in use and take it off when you are using it I don't think you would have to much trouble with sun fade taking it off only when you are camping. Arizona definitely a place I need to travel to in 2025.👍🏼

set up looks awesome bro. Question about your Rig' d multi-fit.. Do you experience your spare tire (not the carrier but the wheel/tire only) bouncing on the trails or bumps on the regular street roads? Im thinking its from the weight of the 35s cause everything is installed correctly to torq specs.

congratulations to your new tent! looks pretty comfortable. May be a stupid question but what could you do to increase the payload on the Truck? Or with other words, why is the payload for the ZR2 so much lower than the regular Colorado? Is it just the suspension?

I have the add a leaf which helps ! And yeah Zr2 suspension is much softer so it’s less ! And thanks man I love it !

The built-in LED lighting is dope! I wish mine had been pre-wired for lighting. I have interior mounting rails, but no power. So I’d have to bring a portable system in, unless I wanna drill holes 😑 Setup is killer dude! 🤘

Yeah I have that auto door lock setting too. It is great fir me, maybe not so much for you. I saw a youtube vid on the settings and enabled it. So if you don't like it, it is somewhere in your settings if you can find it lol

It’s super nice in the city but when I’m out camping the door shuts and locks 5 min later I need to open and I’m like fuck it’s locked 😂
