Lots of weight behind the axle… look into frame reinforcements and be careful hitting the hitch on ledge or big bumps.

Seems like that Wilco is well used/abused. Would be good to see a comparison with a new "Hitchgate Solo" from Wilco as that seems to be more comparable. My guess is the Rigd will still come out on top.

You do but I have the hd 360 cam so I can kinda use those as a back up cam! But definitely interested in one of those rear view mirror cameras!

I just got a flat today at the top of the trail and had to put the smaller 31 in tire in the front and run two wheel drive all the down. I’m still not a fan of the hitch though cause of the departure angle sacrifice. Just need to drop the money on a new rear bumper that has the hitch with it.

@@Downtimelost you are welcome! I had a RAM Rebel 2022 before, I loved the Truck but I sold it to have more cash buying a house. Now I need a new Truck and I feel like a midsize Truck is plenty enough. Specially when I look at the prices for a packed full-size Truck. I am excited but have to be patient a few months.

Excellent info on the swing out. It’s my hope that someone will manufacture a solid bumper with a mounted swing out for the Colorado soon. I wonder what that extra bottom-side space could be used for without creating clearance disasters? I also enjoyed a previous bit you did on how the stock shocks were starting to fade out. I’m definitely upgrading those much sooner now.

@@Downtimelost yeah that's how I felt. Even the shifter felt loose in all of the trucks I drove. I owned a Tacoma prior to this truck and by Nature I was looking to get into a new Tacoma but when I drove one I did not care for it. I like the look of the Interior but the materials and the build quality is just not there to me. Plus when I was looking at a TRD off-road which has less ground clearance to my mother's Outback wilderness, they were asking $70,000 for that truck. The MSRP on that truck was 58,000. I personally don't think you can buy a Tacoma that's nearly as capable as the regular ZR2 or the Bison. I also think they drive better and I think the interior feels better. But not going to lie you make me want to go pick up a Z71 and make another build out of that as well. I love your truck buddy. I will be watching! Be safe out there!

On my 2024 colorafo zr2 i am leaning towards putting either the gold or bronze colored method wheels on my harvest bronze metsllic colored truck and switching out to 255/85R17 tires on the truck to get a 34" tall tire on it. I like both the cooper AT4w And this falken wildpeak R/T tires. Bur also the MT baja boss A/T tire is appealing. Living in northeadtern tn i just need a good rugged tire to ho driving on logging or forestry trails along the tn/nx border andnover in eastern ky or far qest regions in southwest virginia.

The shocks look great! I'm glad to see the aftermarket support growing. As for the bed, that sucks! I would focus on reinforcing the bed before swapping out the tent. Now that it is cracked it is likely weaker than it was new.

oh with truxx lift I did not have to stiffen up the shocks ,like you had to do . that way I have a nicer ride then you will get lifting with your shocks

did you not measure the height to see the difference may be you should try truxxx to see if they have a lift for your model I used truxxx lift kits for both of my colorado zr2 s . I dont rub any time with the lift I got from them
