Just for info.. the reason your battery died is likely BECAUSE you had no service. The issue causing the dead batteries was not updates, it was the module that calls home to download the updates, etc. If you haven’t had the SDGM programming performed from the service bulletin (sent you info on FB I think), then your new battery will also likely be drained when you are out of service. Also when you do your PCH trip I’d love to meet up and chill now that I have my ZR2, I live in the Ventura area. Thanks again for the great content bro

That sucks to hear about all of your battery issues, it’s weird that it happened both times while you were camping. Could it be that you were opening and closing the doors a bunch or had some accessories drawing down the battery? My Colorado primes the fuel system and lights up the screens whenever I open the door. I’ve had mine for 6 months now and thankfully haven’t had the dead battery or any other major issues.

How much have you spent on suspension? And if you don’t mind sharing the specs on it. Looks great and love how you put it to use! Sadly here in Houston we hardly have anything to take this thing to do over landing/ all the good stuff you do

All I have right now is a Peak suspension add-a-leaf , and 2-1 Level up suspension spacer lift so probably like 300 bucks but that icon kit is pricey!! But worth it cuz I need some good suspension like you said I like to beat on it 😂😂 I appreciate it man ! I wish there was spot for yall Texans to camp it’s a shame ! :(

I plan on stripping all the stickers (ZR2 by the taillights) and all the other hard (Colorado and ZR2) plastic badging off of mine for a clean look. I like the ZR2 badge in the grill, subtle, I'll leave that.
@Downtimelost6 ай бұрын
I think ima remove them too!
@kx89606 ай бұрын
@@Downtimelost Talked to a guy (who has a channel) here who stripped the badging on his 2024 ZR2 Bison, and he heated them up with a hair dryer (I'll use my heat gun on low) and used fishing line, said it worked good. Be careful using any chemicals on it to get the glue off. He used Goo Gone and said it didn't hurt the paint, but I've had issues with that stuff ruining plastic, so I think I'll err on the safe side and use the milder Turtlewax Bug&Tar Remover (I know for a fact that works and is paint safe), and maybe a little Meguires cleaner/polish if needed. I think it'll give a nice clean look removing that crap. Best of luck, and post pics!

@kx8960 trust me that is not the issue. Last update was September and still have something draining the battery. If it sits 3 or more days I am lucky to have it start.. remote start is out of the question after 2 days of sitting. Parasitic drain somewhere

Got my AT4 in July and same thing. No updates needed and no battery issues. I did have to take it in recently to do an infotainment update, mine would "play" whatever the first chime or tone (turn signal sound or pre collision detection sound, etc)really loud over the speakers and then be fine after that. It's a known issue and hasn't returned since the update

Those brackets aren't CNC'd, they're extruded, then chopped off to length, then the holes/slots are machined in.
@Downtimelost6 ай бұрын
That’s good to know ! Thanks dawg !
@kx89606 ай бұрын
@@Downtimelost I design parts and help determine manufacturing methods, so I see things like that frequently. They make dies and then extrude the aluminum into long lengths, and cut as needed. You can get geometry that would be hard/expensive to machine in each part. This way, they extrude the shape they need, and only have to saw cut a raw length and then MAYBE clean up that with machining and then put in the holes/slots. WAY cheaper/faster that way. They may even actually take a long piece of extrusion, machine all the holes/slots, THEN cut them into shorter lengths. Extrusions are good and strong though, they look pretty beefy.
