Thank you for that calm Moment you gave to me 😘 I love the New great Piece of Art you began/made. To me it looked like a huge close up on a White Dahlia Flower 🥰 I am very curious on your comission. Have a great time planting your Fall garden 🌼🏵️🍀 Over here in central Europe, we are harvesting the rest of grown goods before the freezing cold is staying for wintertime.

Glad you have nice weather over there, I think we said goodbye to the sun last week and now the rain has set in. We have a few things to sort down the allotments this weekend so hoping it cheers up a bit for then 😊 ❤

Love your video! Yes, stretching your own canvas definitely "primes" your brain and harnesses your energy for each piece you stretch, it's like the gestation process to where the work will be birthed. My first video on my channel goes through the entire process of stretching the canvas. I've been stretching my canvases for since 2008. ❤ kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaemlWeFfb6mrqssi=CjnwNQYySWKc9IQD

stretching canvas is a breeze. just have good stretching toos, a good electric stapler. You start in the center of each side and do 1 staple, going around the perimeter to each side. When you get back to the 1st side , starting at the center staple, go out to the corner, pulling taut as you go, then the 2nd half on the 2nd side, etc. after you do half the side on all 4 sides, go back and do the other half. This yields a taut canvas with a straight weave and no wrinkles. I bet there is a video somewhere that demonstrates.... a picture says 1000 words. good luck! I started out with only options to self- stretch canvasses, at age 18 in art school.

Hi Jess. So glad I ran into you and your lovely videos. It is so refreshing how you keep your words to a minimum and let our minds enjoy your art, your approach, and your spiritual practices. I am a teacher/ practitioner of yoga for 20 years and have spent the year learning art, from drawing to brushstroke to color, so I feel very connected. Will be watching with love and peace.

I just found your video and channel. I appreciate so much, your thoughtfulness in balancing creative time and other details that make your art process easier and more fulfilling. I'm itching to retire in the next couple of years and have been gleaning ideas for setting up an unused upstairs room for an art space. Your ideas for keeping art tools handy but organized, and the drop cloth floor covering are inspiring. I will be keeping tabs on your video content now that I've found it!

Hi Jess, my studio is all packed up as we are downsizing our home of 44 years, continuously grateful that I am a minimalist so the chaos isn’t so bad, moving day next Monday and looking forward to setting up a new space. Due to energy and time constraints I have only my watercolour palette and a fountain pen, so I’m doing blind contours for fun and practicing drawing which has been great with limited supplies. We are heading into spring here in Australia and I can feel my energy rising. Love watching your videos

Wonderful, best of luck with the move! What a change after 44 years and Spring is the perfect season for it. And yes, sometimes (often) I find limitations to unlock a certain kind of creativity, free of a lot of decision making. Thank you so much for watching <3

Hello lovely! Thank you for sharing, once again. For me, this is a time of huge transition personally. Just started a new, fulltime job which is so different from running my own business. I spent a week cleaning up my office/studio. Getting rid of a lot of stuff cluttering up both my mind and space. I am not starting any new projects other than knitting socks, which is easy and not a huge commitment. But…funny you said oil sticks in your previous video because I’ve been looking at them as well. I’ve also been playing with gel plate printing. It’s a really neat process but I can’t seem to get images to transfer well so I’m sticking with laying down colour and just lifting up the paper. It’s so fun! Enjoy the process and thanks for the invite to share our work. Hope you had a chance to look at mine. Be well. And may you wear your day with ease.

Hello! Oh, I was actually wondering if you did share, I must have missed the notification and just tried to look and it's lost in comments, would you mind sharing again? And best of luck on the new full time job! You are really shaking up your daily routine... I love what you say about decluttering your mind and space (they are so connected, aren't they). Let me know if you try an oil stick! One might be in my future soon... next time I stop by the art supply store. Wishing you a wonderful week and transition xj

It was a pleasure watching how you overcame your obsticales in persuing your intrest in your art and studio. Great ideas! I am interested in sewing but have been procastinating. I love making rag dolls because i find them very cute. I'm also planning to make a love quilt using my late mum's scarfs, shawls and garments too as a remembarance of her. It's been less than 3 months since she passed. I guess i'll givee myself some more time? However, Watching you has given me more inspiration to move forward. ❤
