I love watching, and learning, from other artists. Just finished a dark and moody piece that was supposed to be a bright colorful beachfront sunrise. The background just started out too dark, so I just went with where the painting was taking me. Turned out to be one of my favorites! ❤❤

Yes! I love this... sometimes (actually often times) the painting just has it's own ideas and I'm along for the ride :D

Been practicing painting fishies (😂) and taking a break for the next few days from the studio as the allotment needs work. You’re right about gardening, whenever I’ve been outside working on the garden or the allotment, I feel inspired. I’ll see what I come up with at the end of this next week…❤ hopefully the rain will go away in the UK enough to feel like spring any day now…

Oh I have a whole youtube obsession with watching folks in the UK tend to their allotments. Love that you've got one! And yes let's hope for some sunshine over there...

An elegant viewing as dawn gently appears in the threshold of another day. The twinkling yet glimmering hues also appear and percolate as the new video of this prismatic gifted artist welcomes us with an outstanding but truly genuine embrace. Thank You, so much! Very moving and inspiring as I'd had several newer ideas for my own art style. (All together, a dozen). Love the uniqueness of how you begin your new art treasures for others to behold. It's like an additional embrace others need to welcome in their own life. Looking forward to your next video. Love the floral garden as this gently brings back flashbacks of my youth.

Oh my goodness I actually got shivers while reading your beautiful words. This comment is art in itself. Thank you so much for your open receiving and beautiful reflection. I feel the ripples of inspiration in this genuine embrace

I relate to you so much. I am not an artist but I work from home and I totally often take Mondays off but I end up working on Saturdays. I love making up my own hours and rhythms. We create our own rituals since we're in charge. Also I love your hair

❤❤ great video as always! Our spring here in Ontario, Canada is still cold 😢 lol but your video made me feel warm 😊. I work full-time, so I am only a part-time struggling artist and I love to see videos of full-time artists what they do and what they do outside of the studio and also what their daily life is like. it’s inspiring to a hopeful part-time artist to one day do this work full-time. Today is Sunday so in the art studio day for me, trying out different art styles samples in my sketchbook….. I feel a little lost lately. I usually do wildlife realistic portraits, but for some reason I’m drawn to try something else, something different and out of my comfort zone. Thank you for sharing your life as an artist ❤❤

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments and for being here! It really means so much to me. I saw a video of snow in Montreal a few days ago, crazy! Hopefully you guys will warm up soon... And yes... interested about the lost feelings because I was really going through a lot of that and I've heard similar reports from other artists. Maybe it's in the cosmos :) hopefully this eclipse will bring some clarity!

Settings for your Canon re vlogging: set it on Manual (don't be afraid). Then, set focusing mode on single focus mode, set F 2.8, shutter speed = your lens' focal length x 2, WB on 5000 K, ISO 200. Give it a try:) Loving your growing vlogging confidence and you beautiful energy:)

Ah, thank you for this! I am so intimidated by manual mode, it's true. I will try next time and see what happens!

Love to spend some time in your place :-) I am painting little watercolour fruit still lifes at the moment and developing my style/process. Feels nice right now. Like I am starting to figure it out, get into the flow etc. 🙏

Love that you are spending a little time at my place too, thank you! I feel the company. Ooo, this is making me want to do a few more fruits, I think limes are up next on my list. Maybe I'll try a medley!

Such a great video. Painting some moody landscapes at the moment. Painting is new for me since I primarily make Pebble Art. I am really enjoying painting since it is totally different to what I am used to. Learning to trust the process.

Yeah, I totally get that asking yourself is this any good? But then you look around and see the other wonderful art you have done, and realize it is probably great!
