This seems to affect different games in different ways. I am playing metro awakening and it's VERY obvious. When I play Horizon Call of the Mountain, I don't see it AT ALL. Even when looking for it, even when being in pitch black caves. It's inky black. I don't get why in Metro, the dark places are awash with Mura. Really strange. I still do love the quality of the image in general, coming from Quest 2 standalone. The vibrance of the screen is nice.

I honestly thought it was just me and was kinda annoyed by the patchiness of everything as i feel its quite pronounced and just thought, "well maybe my expectations were just too high" on the level of clarity i expected. Interesting approach, however unorthodox, may be worth a shot and glad to see your intention to hopefully scale this out to something more practical and easily applicable

Spoils things for me as this is viewable as a greenish texture against black. Strange though, as it only appears in certain circumstances, sometimes the blacks look great!

Im really surprised some people see mura abd some do not. I had two of my friend's bring their headsets over to see if I notice a difference in their headsets and I didn't. They did not see it in their and mine.

The psvr2 is a great headset but it's very hard to find the sweetspot

It works the same if you just tune down brigthness to about 70%.. That crushes the dark pixels to below the average of total black for almost all pixels.. and voilá..

Those kind of glasses will reduce the light entering, meaning your screen brightness is now lower.

Just tried with two glasses: one polarized like yours and one conventional and non polarized… and the effect of minimizing mura was the same on both. I think the brightness filtering masks mura and it’s completely different of lowering psvr2 oled brightness and that’s an interesting discovery. The problem of course is the brightness loss.

I noticed there are some PSVR2 lens inserts that have anti-glare or anti-reflective coating, I haven't tried this, but do you think it would be similar? I am guessing the colour distortion could be corrected using software to offset the tint, and when used together with custom lens inserts that have a similar coating, it would correct the colour closer to the original.

Man! I bought a cheap polarized sunglasses from a local store and I can’t believe the mura is literally gone! I can play immersive with Metro with virtually no mura. PSVR2 is an amazing headset (without the mura). I can’t believe it!

I was skeptical but bought a cheap pair of sunglasses and it works quite remarkably for how weird the solution is. It is dimmer and the color shifts but my eyes adjusted after 5 minutes, the immersion level difference is collosal.

This effect appears to happen on games with more warm and green tones. It makes sense that resident evil doesn't work well against the mura effect, as developers will use a more grimy color palette for a horror game. I would use reshade on the game to change the color temperature to a cooler tone. It changes the color presentation, but might be a good alternative to wearing sunglasses. I'll be getting this headset pretty soon, and I'll be happy to try this out

haven't even gotten to a point of being able to buy land, but i have been scammed and the only people who knew the address of my crypto wallet was the sandbox discord moderators/support team, and myself. i played for about 2 hours, reaching level 9 on the season 4 battle pass, which gives 21 sand. after claiming this sand and seeing it in my sandbox account, it all just vanished out of nowhere within a single page refresh as i was trying to claim an NFT/asset right after. when i made a support ticket to report this, all they basically said after a 28 hour back-and-forth with screenshots, was "i am sorry this has happened to you but we cannot do anything about it. please create a new wallet and be careful of scammers in the future. do you have any other questions?". it is quite clear they are comfortable with people having their crypto stolen, and offer no resolution or reimbursement for said loses, making me think the scammers are actually the devs & partners themselves. further clarification would be acknowledging that this "game" was bought out by crypto venture capitalists, with a history of buying small mobile games (that are funnily enough within the sandbox), adding crypto to those games disguised as cool cosmetics so little kids steal their moms card to buy them, and then abandoning those games once they've capitalized enough. these are the people who own the sandbox, and they are literally known for running scams disguised as games for 6+ year olds.
