Similar story to the Hillman Imp and the Aussie Commodore...I was driving a Dodge Neon in a one hour race, top class present was a Trans Am series Mustang prepping for a pro race...about every 7-9 laps, he would go roaring by- I had the best seat in the house...I could feel the heat of the flames from his exhaust through the windows...AWESOME!

Slices through the field like a hot knife through butter. The sound of that V8 is pure music. I wish all race cars sounded like that. I don't know what it is about 8 cylinders in a vee, but there is nothing like that V8 burble.

@@The_Evil_Monkey_93 we think it is abit out of habit and possibly need to change the valve in the pump to a different flow rate.

The V8 burble from a super car is music to a petrol-head's ears. Other engines can be technologically incredible, but for whatever reason, V8's just sound like a racing car should sound.

Great work Murph, still got it mate!!! Great to see you flying through the field, yet also reading the traffic and giving the boys some room to race. I’ve never seen this circuit before, but it looks like a great little track. Beautiful to watch, I hope we get to see more soon. Maybe a collaboration with Ambrose?!🤔🤣

@@jimtekkit In Australia they have been using E85 for many years, so the flame isn't visible unless the light is fading.

Yes.. the E85 they believe is made up of alot less chemicals hence the difference in afterburn

It was built by GRM . Now a 427 but was wounded here as the power steering had packed in on the grid !!! Otherwise we’d have been of up the road

Good to see a touring car (sort of) racing in the UK..Don't think much of the driving though. No flow through corners, sprint on straight..stop on corners sprint stop etc and car position on corners...well....All up, Cost you so much time and places. You mentioned Greg Murphy....Would have loved to have seen him in that race....not just a few laps...Would be huge difference. (Hint. Go watch a Bathurst 1000 video a few times. Mt Panorama track is much narrower and much tougher than Brands Hatch. Watch the flow of drivers there, watch their car positioning and cornering and the flow they achieve even on that track.) And yes I did a hold a limited CAMS license back in the day.

Agree re braking too early ; one gear too low round the back ; not enough corner speed especially through Clearways… And yes I’ve held a motorsport licence and been driven round Brands by Touring Car champs in the past… But agreed - the ancient Aston ‘tank’ should have been disqualified for overtaking under waved yellows…
