Thanks for watching. It's the same process. If the real estate surrounding the bulb is enough to make you uncomfortable, I recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal or taking the vehicle to a qualified mechanic.

Any idea why I would only have 5qts drain from the transmission after pulling pan & filter versus the called out 8qts? Thank you
@hansenriquerach-mendoza35155 күн бұрын
This job is kind of mechanics burning hazard . Would it be possible to have some sort of special isolated cover tool to perform this job? It doesn't seem to be safe for drainage even with gloves on.
@MasterJacks4 күн бұрын
It definitely has the potential to burn you. Maybe long welding gloves, or a hot pad from the kitchen on the pipe.
@hansenriquerach-mendoza35154 күн бұрын
@@MasterJacks for over 80 Celcius kitchen long gloves wouldn't hold tolerance. Perhaps titanium costumized ones should be the expensive solution. Bad designing from GMC as usual.
@MasterJacks4 күн бұрын
It really is poor design. Not just for checking the fluid, but running the pipe right under transmission. That's adding a lot of heat, and makes maintenance difficult. They've been doing it for years

Mr, that fluid is using for Automatic transmission, what is contains Calutchs, transfer case contains gears!!!! Wrong fluid you using!! You need to use gears oil

It's the fluid required by Ford. Most modern transfer cases now call for ATF.

How hard was it to fit the spacer onto the wheel? I ordered some the hub centric bore didn’t fit and it was 78.1mm
@MasterJacks12 күн бұрын
The center hub was tight. I almost returned them. On the shop floor I tapped it on with a rubber mallet and then popped it off again with a pry bar. It wasn't crazy tight and it mostly scuffed some paint off the spacer, so I went ahead with them. Since then, when I rotate the tires I have to lightly smack the wheels to pop them off, but it isn't so tight I'd be concerned removing them on the side of the road if I had to. Not sure if it's the same for all spacers or if it's these rims.

is it necessary to do the coils at tune up intervals?
@MasterJacks12 күн бұрын
It would be proactive, but not necessary. High resistance from worn plugs or oil leaks are what take out coils. If the plugs are replaced at interval and the valve cover tube seals are in good health, the coils will last a long time.

Just did this yesterday. Got new motor from Amazon, perfect fit. Hardest part was getting the two bolts for the starter loose without snapping. Used a propane torch to warm them up and break corrosion. Old motor slipped out between frame and exhaust manifold easy. Should always be careful on plastic clip for solenoid (some call it trigger) connection. The clip can get brittle and break easy. Mine was o.k. I had felt motor was failing due to slower cranking and corrosion on wiring. Checked old motor after removal. Got some sparking at terminal when connected, but old motor wouldn’t turn at all. Job done for $120 Canadian.

Where would the EGR valve be located on a 2022 GMC sierra 1500? Help please, anyone pointing in a direction would be helpful
@MichaelHeroes4you16 күн бұрын
Hello! I'm having problems with my 2006 Rav4, please can you help me find out what it could be? I notice that when I drive for extended periods, once the engine is warmed up, water begins to leak from the radiator, escaping through the radiator cap and also through the breather. There is also an oil leak (under the car on the right side); the oil is very clear and thin. These leaks don't occur when I drive for a short time, only after about 20 minutes of driving. I've already checked the engine oil level, but it's fine. Could you please provide some insight into what the issue might be?

For anyone who is following this video, make sure you are installing the correct filter. I bought and initially wanted to use the filter shown in this video however upon dropping the pan, realized that the OEM filter has two ports. Called Ford dealership and they verified the correct filter has 2 ports NOT 1. Make sure you have the correct filter on hand before dropping the pan.

Would the AC get messed up at all during this process? My brother in law just got his alternator replaced and now the AC isn’t working. But ran super cold before.
@MasterJacks18 күн бұрын
You can do it without affecting the A/C. It's possible the shop removed the A/C compressor to access the the alternator. If they opened an A/C line to do that, it would discharge all refrigerant.
