Great vintage revival but I’m afraid their company will fail at this price point. How are you going to justify Omega prices for this?

HNY and great collection, Tom! I'd love a 5-digit Pepsi GMT myself. In terms of one-watch collection, I'd pick the Pelagos 39.

On the panomatic inverse the balance bridge seems to have significantly less gold than what is on Go’s website and what I’ve seen in person. Is this a variation, change, option or camera effect? I like the way it looks here better with a little less gold.

Now that you’re into neo-vintage Rolex. You should check out the early 2000s Explorer II. 40 mm wears lighter and smaller than 42, and it’s slightly less flashy than the newer models….

I have the 16570 Explorer 2 and love it as well. The 42mm case is just too big for my 6.5” wrist, so unless it’s my 36mm Explorer I’m stuck in the 5 digit Rolex world.
@BowlOfSalmon3 күн бұрын
Funny enough the five digit polar (while exactly the size of the 16710 ) feels small for me. Probably because I’m used to the 226570

Thanks. I’m aware it’s an expensive hobby. But it’s also something that crossed me over into another commercial opportunity. I think it wouldn’t have gone this far without it. Like I would never have bought a specialised expensive camera if it was just a hobby. Man maths I guess. Ppl spend crazy amounts on bicycles etc …. watches just look more .. luxury. Just I’m embarrassed if someone outside of the watch world recognises a Rolex and only sees that

Great video - and good luck with quitting the day job. You’re a brave man! Like you, I consider myself a watch enthusiast who just happens to own a few watches (4 in my case: Explorer 1 36mm, Planet Ocean 39.5mm blue dial, Aqua Terra 38mm blue dial and Speedmaster Reduced albino dial). I’m trying to resist the temptation to buy more watches but I think the Christopher Ward C63 GMT is even better than the Explorer 2, especially as it comes in smaller sizes (I have a 6.2” wrist). I like the look of the Nomos Club Sport Neomatik in polar blue or tabac. I need a quartz watch too to balance out the automatics so maybe the Tag Aquaracer in titanium or the Santos. At this rate, I’ll need a bigger watch box…
@BowlOfSalmon4 күн бұрын

I have a 1969 Omega Seamaster and I've been searching high and low to find something more modern that has the same vibes but with some actual water resistance, I believe the hunt is finally over. I love that they went with the 19mm strap and not the 20 mm like most other companies are doing when making their vintage inspired watches of this size.
