Experts tried to convince us these people didn't suffer. Because what happened was too fast for their brains to react. I knew that was bs from day one. These people suffered excruciating pain for a moment of at least 22 seconds before fully dying.

Yeah, they look great, but be very wary of ordering from this company. Myself and a whole bunch of people got shafted by these guys. Granted the pandemic kind of threw a spanner in the works but, I personally lost around $700 AUD as these guys held a bunch of money back when I canceled my order due to delay after delay after delay. Make sure to order from them directly so you at least have some consumer protection in Canada and the US. Whatever you do though, do not order when they are doing a crowd-funding run through Kickstarter.

Does anybody calculate for fun, how long it takes to charge an iphone completely? Weeks? Months?years?
@OrgathmTech8 сағат бұрын
Chat gpt says: 15000 years for one charge with a bb100. Things like chemikal degration of the iphone cell, voltage converting and monitoring loss is much higher then the cells energy, what it can deliver.
@OrgathmTech8 сағат бұрын
That means, you cant use this battery to hold the charge in a lithium cell, because of its self-discharge properties. 😅😅

Since 10 to 20 years, they are telling about new batteries, weekly. But i newer seen one. I think thats a running gag. It seems that physics cant be tricked. My guess for the next 5 or 10 years is a increase by same volume by a factor of 1.2 to 1.8. And thats it. Maybe for ever, when it needs 50 years for a complete new battery chemistry generation. I am not chemist. But my belly told me that. 😊😊😊😂

As a boomer who grew up in LA, I should be right there with you as a car enthusiast. All of my vehicles up until about 15 years ago were manual. And I do still have a manual sports car. But cars are pretty boring, the dynamics are bad and they lean the wrong way. I have a bunch of motorcycles instead. It really does feel like flying. And I fell into the vintage side of riding, so I have to do all my own maintenance on my older bikes, because there just isn't anyone else to do it. My oldest bikes have the most interesting engineering, because the tech was so bad. Weak castings, unreliable batteries, extremely limited electrics, bad heat management. Yet, I've ridden across the US 3 times on my 90+ year old bike. Each 250 mile day is a complete service interval for that bike. So I understand where you're coming from. But the enthusiast market is tiny. Meanwhile, my wife bought a Prius. It is the perfect transportation appliance, like a toaster. No personality, supremely reliable from A to B, very inexpensive to run, no surprises. We put 150k on that first one and then got another one. We put almost 100k on that one and now my niece has it, and we have an Ioiniq 5. The Ioniq certainly has a personality, but much more like a cell phone than an ICE car. All of the electronic tech is what makes that car. I've road tripped it up and down the west coast with no problems and little hassle. I'm not giving up my old bikes, but I'm not buying another ICE car.

Ok so in the early part of the video you’re talking about making ends meet with this as your career. But a narrow focus on solar could be your success or downfall. Solar is for wealthy people…. As are tesla vehicles etc. Not because of the actual cost of the products, but the maintenance and variability of its benefits across the globe make it niche technology that is nowhere near sustainable for your average person. I’m not saying it’s not good, I’m just looking at it from a perspective of your audience and the bigger the audience, the more you will earn. So in terms of earnings, I think you need to either diversify your content or focus on the elite that can afford to go all electric etc. Which the latter would cut me as a subscriber. Someone commented about how there was a line of teslas during a power outage and you mentioned how gas stations need electric to run. And eliminating all carbon fuel would get us to 1/5 of the way to electric . Gas stations can run on generators from the fuel they have in storage if they so choose. An EV charging station can’t. Anyways I’m going off a bit here but my overall point was that going forward, for you and you’re family and financials, branch out a little. The whole electric and solar thing is very beneficial and informative but it’s also very limited in who you are trying to get involved in you’re content. And honestly, if that direction was going to be sustainable for you via sponsors etc on KZbin, it would have paid off already because you present and explain things very well to both the overly educated and to the layperson. You’re awesome at that. But I think you need to either narrow you’re focus and cut some people like me, or broaden it and include people like me which I personally think would greatly increase the KZbin earnings to support you’re crew and family. I get that you have a life goal and mission and you want to stick to that. And you can. But a staunch support of everything solar and electric is going to limit you unless you gear it towards those who have a lot of money and means in the long run.

2 strokes engines for automotive use always uses supercharger in order to pump air into the chamber. i´m not surprised. the most efficiente ice is a 2 stoke slow diesel but it is not usable in automotive due to its dimensions, maybe with two opposed piston you can overcome this problem but i´m sure that there will be more inertia and friction forces. hybrid vehicles with atkinson or miller cycle coupled with two electric motors is much more efficient than other solutions.

Recently there was a Santa Ana wind event with an associated large fire, the "Mountain" fire in Camarillo, CA. We in the county did experience power interruption. I think I heard of gusts going up to 90 - 100 MPH. So hopefully your site video will go into ensuring the structure and mounting for PV are suitable for those high wind conditions. I've seen other YT videos about mounting solar panels on pergolas, so on those videos I always tried looking at the foundations and structure, because catching wind UNDER the panels is going to happen. Electrically, I prefer a PV system provide power without feeding back into the grid. With unlimited budget I'd want a 25 KW PV and 30 KWH battery storage. Regarding cars, I'm a hardcore manual tranny person. I think the problem is parents who cannot train their kids on manual transmission. My oldest daughter can do it. Unfortunately I didn't have time for my son (youngest) to teach. On the other hand, dual-clutch trans is very fast on shifts. Regarding EVs, if every gas station had RELIABLE fast-charging, no problem.

And anyone who says EVs have no soul hasn't driven the ludicrous or taycan.

Totally agree with you, I LOVE my model S Plaid, doesn't quite have the performance chops of the Taycan in terms of dynamics, but what other 1000HP super car seats 5, gets better economy than a prius, and requires no maintenance?? it's just the dream ... i really love the new model 3 performance!

Few car things…. Another thing that has killed the manual transmission is automatics became faster. In my teens, people would get the 5 speed manual because it was faster than the 3 or 4 speed automatics. You could rev it up and dump the clutch even in the slowest ones and peel some rubber. It was even hard to get the sports cars in automatic to burn rubber without holding the brake. Also we all met up and cruzed around. A lot of the cars were so slow we could stoplight race without spinning the tires or even break the speed limit before letting up with one clear winner. The faster Mustangs and Camaros would get everyone together and we would head out to a straight stretch in the middle of nowhere to race because they were faster and couldn’t get away with the stoplight races. Teens lives revolved around their cars and they spent their free time with them. Nobody cruzes anymore and cars are just transportation to teens these days.

Why do we hate electric cars so much, even tho we know they accelerate faster, they are cheaper to run, they are cooler for our planet, they are cleaner for our lungs, they are demonstrably safer, etc etc? Simple - because we are told we ought to / should do / have to - there is a bit of a libertarian in all of us! And being practical, there is also an element of sour grapes from not being able to afford them - partly the input costs of R&D and of batteries (EV manufacturers would love to bring cheaper models to market), partly more and more well-meaning laws and regulations to meet that push all prices up, partly the crippling depreciation that always hits all high tech products that rapidly become obsolescent, and partly a lack of second hand EVs. I am of the ageing Top Gear generation who will be dead in 20 years, we will not be clogging up the roads long enough to actually save enough CO2 from motoring miles to justify the significant CO2 investment of having brand new EVs built … as I potter along avoiding speeding tickets in my (2nd hand, 100% recycled!) Jaguar F-type (which has never broken down, sorry to bust that caricature), while keeping a 20-year old Toyota RAV for hauling building materials and such like (it also refuses to break down), all the while being overtaken by the younger generation in their amazing Porsche Taycans! Change will happen, we just need to give it 5-10 years.

It's a practical issue. I live in Chile, a country mostly between two big mountain ranges. The Andes mountains and Cordillera de la Costa. For us, travel 400km is common thing, only in the central part of Chile, with change of elevations of 1000mt or more. Even a small trip from Santiago to the beach has an elevation of 850mt. Electric cars suffer a lot with that and the battery drains too fast. For urban city use, great. For trips in plain terrain less than 200km, great. But for trips between mountains in the 40° summertime, good luck with your battery. And here in Santiago there are a lot of electric cars, 7.400 electric buses for public transport in the city, delivery trucks are almost all electric too. But outside the city is not a great idea. And having two cars, one for the city and the other for trips outside the city, is the least ecological thing to do.
