Jimmy Page is my favorite guitar player of all time.

I watched the song remains the same in theater when it came out, I was 11. Zepplin was such an important band.

Yes, he played much cleaner than most people realize. You can't hide behind distortion with his stuff. That's certainly a portion of why people say he's sloppy. Also, he's constantly adjusting volume and treble and switching back and forth on the pickup selector, wringing every tonal nuance from his guitars. That's something I missed when first starting out on guitar. I'd set everything to 10 and stuck with the bridge pickup, a very limited tonal situation.

I love Fender clean tone but when I had Marshall’s and could play them loud, it was magic.

I saw George when I was a kid in a band called Exciter opening up for Quite Riot with Randy Rhoads at the Palomino a country western club. He was playing a star charvel. I was really impressed by his attack and attitude. He was ripping it up. Total rocker!

I always say to people who think he's the best, Well, no he isn't, but he is my favorite for his dynamics, phrasing, and ability to improvise constantly.

I know you’re a professional guitarist so you would know, but it’s interesting hearing you say that 60’s guitars have better craftsmanship than today’s guitars…I don’t have any experience with vintage guitars but I find your opinion very thought provoking 👍

Curious about what are you using in your signal chain in this intro you play : Which Pedals + Marshall head + Mic-d cabinet ? or any other solution like the OX Reactive Load Box ? I'm saying this cause it sounds amazing and this overdrive cuts through beautifully !

I love Jimmy Page! His creative pallet is unparalleled in rock music in my opinion. What he did with riffs, solos, acoustic playing, and overdubs/fills in the studio is so expressive. Some people like to knock him for being “sloppy” but he took risks that others of his era wouldn’t or couldn’t take. I never get bored musically listening to Jimmy Page.

I lived in Nashville twenty years ago. Not in the music business. Their are thousands of musicians wandering around Nashville. They work at grocery stores, they work at wal mart. My wife worked at a restaurant and the guy doing dishes was the bass player for pirates of the Mississippi. If you remember that old band.

Ace is just as influential in the 70s as Page and Edward. That great tone you hear? Ace has said in interviews that he wasn't plugged into the Marshall stacks, but was plugged into Fender Twins that were miked into the PA underneath the stage.
