Interesting build. My .02, take it down to stringers including the foam and ditch that old Mako console. A more narrow / tall console would probably give you a tone of space

Yea definitely going to do that and lay new fiberglass down… funny you said that about the console I was thinking the same thing. 🤙🏼

Awesome Project and Coosa Board is the right choice! I used it on my Whaler 15' project (I did a series on my channel). On a side note, Harbor Freight has a Portable tent - garage, 10' x 17' for $250. It might even be cheaper with their coupons? Might be useful in keeping the weather off your rebuild.

Got a 77 20’ mako that I want to redo .. learning from people like you what/what not and how to restore the boat.. usable now, but floors are soft in spots, original gas tank, change up to a modern boat ..

look up fl sportsman project dream boat they did mako 171 project and it came out great its blue mako boat same style boat! might give you some tips and ideas!
