Tobe, Good to hear from you again! Very nice and simple way of making the doors close and stay closed. You are probably going to make door panels soon? The dump truck is definitely shaping up. What's next? Great work👍👍👍!

Thanks Mark. Yes I'll be making the door panels real soon. I'll be doing the dash next, then steering wheel and the seats. The door panels will go on after all of those.

Tobe, your skill with this stuff is just pants-wettingly incredible ... and all delivered with a cool Jamaican vibe. Quality! I'm about to finish a 1/24th scale resin kit of a Bedford KM tipper-truck (I think you call it a dump-truck where you live ???). Problem is, the kit is just the cab and chassis, so I'll need to build the bodywork myself. Never attempted anything like that before but watching your videos is inspiring me to try. Just one quick question: what thickness of plasticard would you recommend for that type of bodywork? Cheers, mate! Keep up the good work. 😊👍
@Tobe.smallcars
@Tobe.smallcars Ай бұрын
Hey Andy, Thanks for the comment. Yes, In America we call them 'dump trucks'. In Jamaica where I'm originally from, we call them 'Tipper trucks' like you do, and also 'Dumper trucks'. Lol. All the best with that Bedford project. I hope to do a Leyland Roadtrain one day. I would definitely recommend 1mm (0.04 Inches) for the body. You could then use 0.5mm wherever it's visually necessary.

Tobe, I am a Rattle Can guy. I build and paint for right off the asembly line look. But saying that, I am impressed with your weathering eye. As you said you are an artist. Your canvass, is 3 dimensional instead of painting in 2 dimensions! The depth of your rust is almost real! It wants to make me want to sandblast the frame and repaint. LOL! I have friend who like to go to truck junk yards, to see old trucks, in their rusting state. But I dothink you have it!
