Tobe, I am a Rattle Can guy. I build and paint for right off the asembly line look. But saying that, I am impressed with your weathering eye. As you said you are an artist. Your canvass, is 3 dimensional instead of painting in 2 dimensions! The depth of your rust is almost real! It wants to make me want to sandblast the frame and repaint. LOL! I have friend who like to go to truck junk yards, to see old trucks, in their rusting state. But I dothink you have it!

I appreciate the comment, Mark. Lol great way to look at it. I guess this is my canvas. It probably looks better on screen than in person. I also want to wish you all the best with your model building.

Amazing job Tobe, this project is definitely coming along nicely. As a novice myself, I've learned for weathering dry brushing(metal effects, dust, highlights) black washing, and spot drying with napkins really help the process. I also learned like you did orange, browns, and yellows make for good rust effects. Amazing amazing job brother.

Thanks for the comment. You know it. These little tips and tricks definitely help. I've underestimated drybrushing until I saw how effective was is to achieve a metal look.

@@Tobe.smallcars It's definitely helped me out. In fact your videos did as well. I built an entire 1/10 scale Civic for my daughter which on my channel thanks to your vids. I appreciate you for putting the info out there for the world and myself especially.

Awesome job Toby! 👏 Weathering is something that you can't do wrong... Lol My opinion, and I have been told I'm wrong but don't care... Lol You should go to "MARS GARAGE" YT channel and watch his Patina and Rusting videos. I learned a lot from him for my Rusty Farm Truck build... You are amazing and doing a great job on this truck... 😁 LLAP 🖖
