Bridgestone where? Serious oversight from AutoBid to not include the RE71RS or even the Potneza Race. You can't claim the fastest tire without these in the test.

Thank you. Is this appropriate for a 2014 MB e550a for all season street only use in Southern California or is it just too specialized a tire for this kind of street use? Thank you.

Get a normal summer tire for "winter" and only ever consider a semi slick if you drive on track. If you don't drive on a track and only drive on the street then stick to normal summer tires, they are better in casual fast cornering as they don't need to heat up to get grip like track tires

I don't know if you got permission from AutoBild to post those reviews from their magazine to YT but I think you could be sued for posting content from their monthly issue online. I know from my experience on GermanCarForum that you could not post monthly issues from magazines publicly

It's happened in the tire world in the past but no one dares do that now, plus autobild generally buy their tires from market.

wouldn't this be more accurate if you used same width and same height tires? I thought this would be only regarding wheel diameter.

I think at the time there wasn't an SC7 in this size, but also where the SC7 and PC7 are available in the same size they're actually pretty close in terms of outright grip. Also SC7 rivals PS4S not PS5 and technically F1 Supersport not Asym 6 so the PC7 is the right tyre.

Sharper steering does not equal more grip though. Better steering response due to the stiff sidewall but a soft tire has more grip as the transition of weight is slower and allows the tread to stay in place

It's kinda funny. I have been doing track and AX for about 20 years and just got my 1st set of RE71RS. On a cold 40F morning on the way to an AX event the tires made so much noise I thought I had a flat or picked up a screw or something. Got out, looked around and all was well. After a few miles the tires warmed up and felt more civilized. On the AX course they were brilliant and I was regularly in the top 3 for the day. On a big banked sweeper the noise came back and I thought it was strange but the times were great. Good day both days and on Sunday I manage FTD on corrected time. I think these are keepers!

I also drive to Mammoth 3 Times A year Utah, once a year and this year I went to Wyoming. I have a 118000 miles On my 2019. Subaru.. These tires Are by far the safest snow tires I've ever driven on. E, especially in the snow. I've had lots of snow tires in the past. These are the best ever. This is a voice text so There are some Mexican words. No, not Mexican words mixed up words. Remember, folks: there's no All-Season tires! Most of them are just summer-season tires with compound hardening point slightly below -10 degrees Celsius. If average winter temperatures in your area are about -15 degrees- you better use winter tires. Their compound hardens below -45 degrees Celsius. And never use studded tires on asphalt or concrete roads- it's even worse than studless tires on ice when braking. Not to mention the sound of studs being grinded into dust against road surface. After 1.5 months of such driving there will be no studs on your studded tires. ( Compound of studded winter tires is 5% harder than on studless tires). Trust me, winter tires on snow and ice perform better than all-season M+S or AT (used them, know how they behave on dry, wet and winter road). And never wait for your tires to became smooth as pebble! Doing so will put in danger not only you, but everyone around you! That grooves on tires are precisely engineered to provide TRACTION on the road. Drag tires have soft compound and doesn't live very long, just don't try to make them out of road tires. In that case you WON'T live very long. If someone didin't knew, there's special lines between grooves on tire called "wear indicator". If the wear indicator is level with the edges of the tread pattern, it’s time for the tire to go to the landfill. Keep your car well-maintained, tires "in good shape", seatbelt buckled around you and your passengers and MAYBE you won't get another nasty ticket from police officer!

I am doing a roadtrip in Turkey and 2 weeks ago I stopped on an unpaved parking lot with a lot of very sharp rocks high in the mountains. One of the tires was out of pressure directly, but because they were runflats, I could easily get into the next village an half hour down the road and get it replaced (for a cheaper tire in almost the correct size). The next day another tire blew and I noticed that the remaining tires had developed big bubbles on their sidewalls. For me runflats are a nobrainer; you can safely drive to a town, even in the middle of nowhere when all 4 tires are damaged beyond repair.

One of the things that sold me on the M crossclimate2 was that it's performance remains quite steady even as it wears, even to the point that it's overall performance is supposedly quite close at the end of it's life compared to the overall performance when new. Is that BS, or not?? THAT is actually more important to me than a tire that puts out great numbers when new, but so-so when worn. I bought these CC2s for my wife's car because I wanted safe tires for her, particularly in the wet, that would perform even as they were worn. Comments?? 🤔
