Hi Jordan, Thanks for your review, I liked and subscribed. But I do still have a (for me) rather urgent question if I may ? I am about to order two of these cases and what is still holding me back is the question if I am going to need Phanteks premium GPU riser card for vertical and diagonal mounting (I only go for vertical) or if perhaps I can do without, but what do I then really need to have ? I was fortunatel enough to have gotten my hands on a Nvidia founders edition RTX4090 (still unused in it's box in my mancave), but that founders edition has one fan on either side and won't the Phantek premium GPU riser then block one fan at least for half the diameter of that one fan ? That would seem counter productive then. And again, you say I technically don't need such a GPU riser holder thingy at all with this G500A case ? The Nvidia FE RTX4090 is a 3 slot card by the way. Could I bother you please with this ? I can get the cases a bit cheaper because of black friday, but the premium riser card is a solid 100 dollar/euro here. What do you think based on what I described ? Thankls in advance for any reply. - Cheers, Marc

Hey Marc. You're welcome, thanks for subscribing and liking. So you could look at a riser from NZXT, those have a diagonal support and the top fan should clear that without issue. But if you're okay without one, then I wouldn't worry. I expect you'll get better temps without too.

Thermals for this are in the video but it's hard to tell without using the exact same setup inside it. If you're using Noctua fans you're unlikely to hear them unless you're thrashing the system.

Excellent review. I will be using an air cooled CPU. I've read it's not recommended to have bottom case fans because it raises the CPU temperature. What would you say is the ideal fan configuration? I'm thinking 3 intake at the front(ish), 1 rear exhaust and either 1 or 2 exhaust.

Thanks mate, i couldnt find anyone mentioning the rev 2 model, this gave me piece of mind. It's weird hearing it is a low end board, i got it for $300 AUD, and i'm pretty sure this is the most I have ever spent on a board; usually i'm around the $200 mark, I thought i was buying upper mid range! With gen 5 pci.E and gen 4 m.2's, 4 of them, makes me wonder what the hell i'm apparently missing out on with a higher end board. I know theres gen 5 m.2, but man, doesnt really feel necessary unless it was a business computer that had to transfer hundreds of gigs of data a day.

So far this is the best equipped board for z890 below $650: - 24 phase VRM (not 16, 18 or other cheapo on other brands) - 110A SPS stages (not cheapo 60A 80A or 90A God forbid) - dual BIOS - debug LCD - 10gbe NIC - 2x16pcie with 8x+8x bufurcation - ALL 10gbit USB ports on rear IO - front USB with up to 60W charge (not 20W or 30W) - top audio codec ALC4082 + ESS9219Q - full set of buttons on board/rear IO I bet you will NOT find better board in this price range. Dont tell me about HERO, TAICHI, MASTER or other crap. Read their specs CAREFULY: they all have ONE or the OTHER spec, but NOT ALL at once.

Disagree with a lot of ppl, I believe this refresh looks very stunning, beautiful, and unique, especially the white version. No more ugly and useless dust filter on top. When it comes to the front, the fine mesh does an okay job imitating a dedicated dust filter, according to my observation from phanteks p500. Keep in mind that dedicated dust filters aren’t a perfect protection anyway, still plenty of dust gets through. This case is way better looking than the previous h5 iteration with a toilet bowl inside

It looks good, but there's some things that just make no sense, like not allowing people to put the PSU face down.
@kailron
@kailron 3 күн бұрын
@@jordanash it's weird, but doesn't seem like a huge deal tbh. One plus is that there is no need to awkwardly pull out the dust filter from behind and clean it. The bigger negative for me is that it's probably a bit awkward to pick up and move the PC since you can't easily slide fingers under, but I couldn't be wrong, I'd need to try the case in person
@jordanash
@jordanash 3 күн бұрын
PSUs facing down have been a standard for years, not at least giving the *option* is a big oversight. If they did they that, then they could have a side or front access filter, then you wouldn't need to move it anyway.
