As a person that's played Kirby Air Ride for years now, I"m glad that some speedrunners out there are actually speedrunning these tracks, this is awesome to see.

I just want Nintendo to do some HD Remakes of the originals. And imagine if they actually had some true cutscenes. They could give great world building and depth. The whole idea on Diddy just being seen as a sidekick. If in DKC2 everyone is doubting Diddy and just wants to hand over the hoard, only Dixie believing in him. DKC setting up the story for DKC2. It’s just DK and DD having good times going out to get their banana hoard back because “K. Rool’s back at it again” there’s clear set things on how everyone underestimates Diddy and how they only really praise Donkey in their victory even. But then we get to DKC2 and the stakes are raised. Now Diddy truly has to prove himself worthy. Just picture it. We get the same incredible gameplay with the immense difficulty hopefully not lessened whatsoever, it looks way more beautiful, the music sounds so much better with it being completely re-recorded to actually be able to hear each little instrument and not just pixel boops and beeps, and of course this beautiful story, it all just comes together so that that bonus ending in DKC2 would feel so much more rewarding. And if they bundled the two games together, it would be so much better! Not just economically. But all the holes in the original are filled by DKC2. If they make the save files shared and you get to go to Crocodile Isle after beating the story on Donkey Kong Island. The story is now deeper for both. The game if they make good changes could be see as a decent length game, with 20+ hours to 101 and 102% both islands. Maybe even the completion on the Lost World is connected to the first island. Like what if they add one more level and you need to get all the secrets from the first game to open it. Idk but something that’s genuinely clever. And placing DK Coins on the original island so that way you get that 1% extra through the DK Coins as when you win the podium it adds one percent to both islands collection rating and then that last 1% being found on Crocodile Isle’s Lost World. Like I don’t think they could do Krem Coins on DK Isle since it’s not the Kremlings land but what if they had some other collectible or something for them and these could be placed in the bonus areas and be used on the Lost World some way outside of the base five levels in some clever way. Like what if because of the fact Animal Idols are seen as obsolete and repetitive and often annoying they instead made them collected for long term. And on the map some point in the game you get a new location placed on the world map so as substantial as a world. And there are enough animal idols for them to have covered all the animals even the ones you only use on the second island. So you can exchange them. You have 10 Rambi idols, 10 Enguarde idols, 10 Expresso, 10 squawks(no quawks sorry bud) idols, 10 squitter, 10 Rattly, 10 Glimmer, and 10 Clapper and I don’t know about Winky because two jumpers seems redundant. But you collect all of one and you get their bonus room. Giving a timer to collect all their bananas. But you can actually replay the level for a fee of like 100 bananas or a banana coin. But the bananas already collected are absent. And you are trying to find the idol hidden. A huge idol of maybe a token or something. Once collected, it nets a second reward, each buddy gets their second abilities. So Rambi can charge, Engaurde can charge, Rattly can super jump, Expresso would have a new one, e.t.c. And so for Diddy’s Kong Quest there is less orientation on using these. On Toxic Tower it isn’t required. However, they are still needed to find secrets and beat the secret world. So you need DKC at 100% before you can gain access to the last of the lost world. This would be a great way to handle things and it’s a reward too as you can play levels with these cool abilities and you got a bunch of collectibles in the bonus rooms. Just one idea on how to handle things. It’s the same way you get rewarded for beating DKC because you would get a crap ton of bananas. Halfway through DKC2 and you can go back home at any time so you are rewarded in a the way that you can now play as Dixie on the old levels. And beating DKC2 rewards you by letting you play DK on the Krem Island levels where he dominates against all big bads and they could deliberately place more focus on them to make it rewarding in such a way. And then your final big reward is putting everything together, using all kongs and all buddies to beat the Lost World. They shouldn’t extend the amount of levels but just focus on quality over quantity. Maybe Animal Antics now uses all animal buddies so there is a segment with glimmer and clapper involved and Expresso too! Each section is huge so there is a checkpoint after each animal’s section. And that reward of watching K. Rool’s island come crashing could be even better! Imagine the possibilities with today’s hardware. It’s not a five second audio clip of wind being repeated but instead a long, varied ten minute audio so you can sit there for a while and still feel the magic. What if the sun would actually go down if you sat there for a while. Witness the night, the sunrise, it could feel so magical. See the kongs sleep and wake, nudge each other to view the… view. It could be incredible! Those 25 hours or whatever would be so worth it. And if they fixed the bonus rooms to have great variety like if they mixed the DKC and DKC2 bonus rooms with it being like a 70/30 split more orientation on DKC2, or even a 70/15/15 split, with them implementing some DKC3 shenanigans. Or just don’t do any of that and it’s just better graphics and music and I’ll still be happy. Both games being $60 or a bundle for $100. Or do what I said, make it $80 on next gen switch. This could be… better than the originals. DKC2 is ranked as my favorite game. Could you imagine the potential with what I said. Even so, the upscaling would still be nice just because as long as they keep like the difficulty it would be beautiful and shine more light on the games.

Why does this look black and white at the beginning?

I wish more channels balanced their audio when inserting beeps into their videos. It's so much louder than the actual audio of the video that I can't even finish it without waking up every neighbor. Great video overall though.
