This makes me want to replace all my bronze thru-hulls now, I saw Colin replaced all his with Tru Design too!

What I don't understand, & what unnerves me about Trudesigns, is how tall they are. How do they respond if an idiot stands on them or they're struck really hard, by "accident" obviously. (I know the load bearing collars). Also, do they not do right angled skin fittings? They'd be useful on smaller boats.

The greenish powdery coat on the outside is a indication that they are de-zincing. Some of the cocks are brass right off the bat: the one one the coolingwater filter is. I wrote something about that at some point. drive.google.com/open?id=1Yo8noARKF0jqZ30w99DIRHJHfMfvlhvP&usp=drive_fs It is in Dutch, but I guess the message is clear. The ones on toilets obviously need more attention. But, I am not sure why, the ones on water lubricated prop shaft seal.

Interesting, I've always used bronze & they do seize, unless you work them. Sounds like you have found a better product & great that they have sponsored the amazing work you do.

What a beautiful and magnificent boat. Thank you for sharing your home on water. It is interesting. One thing I noticed is that it is very freeing and minimalist versus if you were to live on land. You have packed so much in such little space and yet it is so spacious. I love it! 🩵🩵🩵
