Hope you're doing better now! Caught this video a little while after it was posted as I haven't been staying as up to date as usual. Had to put down a corset project to work on a baby blanket for a friend so this was nice to watch as I miss working on it! Sending best wishes!

The dryad vest is such a good idea to not waste leather. Usually that piece of leather with the holes and raged ends would be cut off and discarded.

I'm really late to this video and I can't remember if you've already done this, it's been that kind of year, but the cute, green linen dress might be cool to revisit. I love the purple stays.

at first i thought that hat was too big to be a pirate hat, but then i figured if it isn't baroque, don't fix it

This came out amazing! It is exciting to see you so thrilled with it too! I especially adore the spiders hanging off the hat.

Kburg does an amazing scavenger hunt. Depending on how much you do you can get free parking, free one day ticket or a season pass for the next year. I just keep it in the bags I used then remember to use it the next year.

I love the jk Rowling parallel with Ren faires. That really caused a surge of interest. In these events similar to the actual Renaissance.

Hey Minji! You always have the cutest sweaters on, I was just wondering where do you typically get them from?

My urge to make a hat grows with everyone you sew. I think I start with felting a knitted bucket hat though. Just to reduce the size of a disaster I'll make😂

OK, but I'm loving the sweater you wore in the beginning of the video! 🤩 May I ask where you got it? Your Hobbit costume turned out so cute! As a Hobbit-at-heart who looks best in pastels and softened jeweltones, this look makes me so happy! I'm totally using the term "pastel Hobbit" to describe my style now. Thanks for sharing! 😊💜

The whole time I was waiting for the undoubtedly intricate process with steaming and shaping to give the hat its tricorne shape, and the you literally just folded it, gave it an extra squeeze and that's it. I had no idea! You look very stylish. I like all the gold accents.

This is amazing! What sewing machine did you use for making this corset. Also, how many mm was your boning size

I would say you successfully did Baroque! Nice and elaborate with the jewels tones definitely made it not even a little Rococo. Your design sense is really great and I really enjoy your variety of designs and ideas and your ability to pull them off 🎉

This is the most interesting video that I have ever about a dress! Thank you Minji. I have never tought how much work goes into one. But I also don't know how to sew or like just a button 🤷♀️. I would have liked to see a full bodyof the dress because of the size. I am now EU 38-40 size so like M or L. But I worry that L will be baggy. So M should be fine🤔 But if it is compfy than maybe S 😵💫

As a black woman it is so nice to see representation in this video ❤❤❤ Many friends have invited me to a Ren Faire because they know I love to cosplay, but it’s never comfortable being the token. I loved seeing all the people of color in your vlog. I’m now excited to try my first faire summer 2025. Thank you 🙏🏿 ❤

This may not be what you intended, but the design of the trims on the front of the stays look like the prow of a ship, which is perfect for a pirate!!

I would never go to a renfair because I'd get sensory overload immediately but I looove the costumes! So I appreciate the videos you put up so I can enjoy the cute looks without going insane from the heat, noise and smells. Also, yes, Mica looks very cute, especially in his kilt :)

This is beautiful! I am somewhat new to the channel and have been really loving all your content over that past couple of months. The talent you have creatively/sewing wise is amazing! Are you self taught or was this something you've studied via school, etc? (Also if anyone knows the answer to my question who's a long time viewer, let me know! Truly just curious ☺️)

This is the faire that I miss the most, but hoping that next year we will be there, and I will be there next year with some homemade crafts and perhaps with any luck will be near the blacksmith who has been a friend for over 30 years now (WOW! REALLY?) ! Rather be doing this than the bigger Southern Faire, as it's more close knit family feel. Also Escondido Renaissance Festival that Ravenwood spoke of, another one that is very much like Koroneburg with the re-enactors, can't speak about anything else as it's been 20 years since I have been to any of them. Moved to Minnesota, Delaware and North Dakota in 20 years, but now back and ready to start a new chapter in my Ren Faire life.

I really love this costume! The immediate character idea that came to mind is either a crow/dragon pirate that continues to deck out their outfit with pretty shiny treasures they obtained on their adventures✨

Oh I've made this same stays pattern. Mine ended up being a wearable mock up, so I love seeing how you bag lined it with a pretty fancy decorated outside. I also made mine with the center bones running the full length and haven't experienced any crumpling from the horizontal ones as a result. Did you cut off the tabs on all the pieces? I found that to be the worst part of the pattern and would love to eliminate or incorporate them if I make it again

i LOVE B4254 ~ i did find it restocked at my local joann as recently as a few months ago but it definitely seems to be restocked very infrequently so it's one of those 'grab it when you see it' patterns especially if it's on the $1-$2 sale!! love the corset, can't want to see the process for the rest of it! <3
@annastebelskyj580Ай бұрын
Suuuper cute! That is genuinely the cutest crazy quilting. It's generally not my thing, but you curated the fabrics beautifully. Hot tip: you can cut a drawstring in half and sew in a 4-6" piece of elastic. That's how I modify every single one of my son's sweatpants, so he doesn't have to undo them or struggle to extricate when using the bathroom.
@annastebelskyj580Ай бұрын
That is absolutely ridiculous and I adore it! The beaded upholstery trim fits so perfectly, like you'd made it specifically for these stays.

I wonder if you could track down the longer loops in a few places so they are less likely to get caught but still have some movement? Not sure but maybe. 😊
