There are so many people getting out of Fuji now and no wonder why. I slummed it with Fuji for over 10 years. I was locked in so much with all of their lenses, it was too expensive to change, so I kept hangin in there hoping things would improve. It wasn't until some of my customers started to not be happy with my images and it looked like I was about to lose some of my clients. Then out of desperation, about 2 years ago I trialled a Nikon Z camera and was totally blown out of the water with their image quality and their gorgeous Z series lenses. My clients commented on the gorgeous images and my business improved. I could now pull up an image shot over 1600 ISO, and pull up underexposed shadows, and the whole thing didn't turn to custard. I have two older Z cameras (6ii/7ii), and not even the latest technology, but their AFC is brilliant and still infinitely better than whatever Fuji had to offer me. Now I can do all my model shoots and events, and each time it just grabs the eye. I'm just filthy with myself for scabbing it with vile Fuji for so long and wasting thousands of dollars on their rubbish gear. Case in point - here in Perth Australia - an ad for a 2nd wedding shooter ".... second shooter required for weddings. The only stipulation, no Fuji shooters ...."! Ha, ha - I rest my case.

This is an unfair comparison or can be seen as a Leica ad. First because you decided to use the Leica Q as a model and then you missed most Zf features, even the Lens is not a Nikkor lens. So for me this comparison doesn't worth a penny and looks more a self confirming ad for Q owners. What „engineers at Nikon” should do, was to place big red „A” (for „Auto”) on the ISO dial. That's all they should do. They could even sacrifice the highest ISO number, if there were not enough positions; that highest ISO available there could be set from menu. Instead they decided to unnecessarily complicate the switch from „Auto ISO” to any value selectable by using that dial.
@RH-adventure13 күн бұрын
@@beholder2012 I would be happy with that solution. Even though I like the ability to set Max ISO on the dial. But I hope they do that in a future camera.
@beholder201213 күн бұрын
@@RH-adventure IT'S NOT „Max ISO” in „Aperture Priority” mode - that's the problem! In the situation you've described you can override the range 100-200 ISO with FIXED value of any other ISO. The behaviour you've described works only in „Manual” mode. If they added to the list of the values (I mean „Highest ISO” in the menu) the option „dial-selectable” - it would be very comfortable solution, because one could limit the range with the dial actually leaving it being set to „Auto ISO” forever. Unfortunately, they aren't that smart in Nikon, they seem not to be aware that we strive to take shots at lower ISO rather that at higher.

This is one of the best photographic comparison videos I've seen on KZbin. I entered the world of photography in the mid-60s at the age of 16, using a Yashica Mat -124 G and Tri-X 400. I've come a long way from the Yashica to the Nikon Zf (which will be my last camera). The more I use it, the more I'm blown away by the quality, from the build to the Nikkor lenses to the images it gives me. I have yet to try the monochrome function (I've been processing my B&W images from RAW color files), but you have convinced me to "give it a shot," pun intended. As beautiful as the images were from both cameras, I found myself leaning toward the Deep Tone Monochrome. For me, it had more of a "graphic" quality, while the Tri-X had a "documentary feel," but beautiful nonetheless. Thank you for sharing and inspiring!

I have two bronica ETRs and three lenses with them. The nice thing about the ETR and ETRS systems you can get a solid one part adapter to GFX. Also so long as you stay away from the PE versions and use the E2 versions (Those are pretty close to the same lenses as the PE) you have a button instead of the lever .. So instead of having to slide that lever over and hold it its a metal button that sticks out instead. I do inside photos and its very hard to see to focus unless the lenses are wide open. The problem with your method was that I had to keep cracking the aperture ring every time to re focus. It was a real pain. Using the button is easy to just rest the lens in your hand if your hand holding and just grab around the button and it presses it closed and take your photo. Let off and its open again to refocus ..
