Thanks for the demo. I can't afford an Epson, I got lucky and a pharmacy store threw out their Epson which was faulty due to ink contaminating the optical sensor which I managed to clean out and works great. Would you happen to know what are the most darkest black inks brands / vendors to use which blocks UV light, any recommendations for Epsons and Canon? I am aware that both printers uses different print head technologies. Thanks.

This is cool, I hope you are still around because I have a question. I am not printing to screen print, in fact I am printing to a aluminum can (logo). I have been wondering how this is done but my question is this. I notice after you printed from Illustrator to PDF and then import into Photoshop, you showed a problem where the yellow and green gradients printed as smooth gradients. Since you can literally blend two spot colors, do you have to set one of the colors to overlay? I dont see how it determines what part gets erased from the green and what part gets erased from the yellow to make the two overlapping gradients that then create the blend.

7 years later and this video is still relevant. I needed an inkjet printer for transparencies to make contact photographic prints using cyanotype processing, and today I picked up a lightly used one that came with a complete set of canon ink cartridges and some 13x19 paper. I paid a whopping $40!! Not a scratch on it, and it even had the protective plastic over the pixma logo. Prints perfectly, and had no problem connecting to wifi even though I have read that a lot of people have problems with that. The setup for that is definitely a bit clunky in that the first time I went through the wizard, it didn't mention that you need the usb plugged in as well if you are setting it up for wifi, and at a certain point the instructions tell you to disconnect the usb to complete the wifi setup. Anyway, excited to have a printer again, and the screen burning thing is entirely new to me so what the hell, I might try that too.

just switched to adobe. familar with PS, learning Ai. nice video. however when i go to print (4min into video) it shows my process colors there. does this just mean there are still CMYK objects in my file? is this an issue if it doesnt affect the separations outcome of my spot colors? thanks

I have the same printer and I work with photoshop as well. But when I go to print settings & click media type, the photo option doesn’t have the dropdown selection to choose the specifics that it showed in this video. Anyone here think they can help? Idk if there’s something I can do to get those options.

I've looked into this printer on your recommendation as well another person's. I'm reading reviews and it's less than 50% for in favor of. Seems a lot of the issues are internet related and also it just stopping all of a sudden n indicating paper jam. I'm confused about this. Please advise me. TY

Thank you for the info on the opportunity. I'm a small time printer and I think I've found my affordable printer. Now, do you have recommendations for an affordable exposure unit. I think I can make a wash out both and make an diy exposure unit, but I don't want to scrounge for a drawer, shop at home Depot for a halogen lamp but a drill etc. Thanks

so i ordered a $600 washout booth thinking it was free shipping and got a call from the company saying it would be a $450 shipping cost... i was able to cancel the order and i immediately started looking up diy methods and this is the first video that came up on google. Great job and i plan to pick up these pieces today. one critique... i think rather than making a ledge to rest the screen, i will saw the front side of the booth leaving about 6 inches in diameter to have an open space to scrub the bottom of the screens... outside of that this is one brilliant tutorial. thank you.

How many 11x17 pages can be loaded into the feeder tray? I need to print 11x17 mechanical dwgs which are about 20 pages. Would i have to feed one 11x17 page at a time?
