Hey Manny, I’m trying to start my first studio, I built an analog desk to interface system that’s tape compatible, I’m ex film and new to audio, it’s taken me three years to learn and than build the system and understand it and I started buying my first decent mics ect, I did my first group band record test last week and the next is in a few days. I’m in a quite a large shed/ ex engineering shop, I’m having vocal bleed issues with drums, I’m trying to keep everyone close together and amps far away, but the drums are killing the live voc and the last guy refused to redo the voc so I’m trying to improve things fast. Would you ever consider doing some kind of video call? I need some experienced advice before I blow a bunch of money doing dumb stuff. The band industry is screwed here and I’m trying to make an affordable studio for bands I like. I would even pay to video show you around and have a 30 min conversation or whatever cause I need the help and i like your logic. Please message me I would be eternally great full. Johnny Maori boy in New Zealand. Cool mics buy the way.

I think there is a growing movement of engineers and producers that are decidedly going after organic results via tape, distortion and outboard gear. This is a great option for the old schoolers and tinkerers out there who want the best of both worlds. They can be both out of the box and in the box. I see value in that as it preserves their organic artistic approaches while offering other digital solutions/inspirations.

@@willmcelroy6376 hahah ok ok - schoolers works too. But again I will say that this tech is great for technology investigators and schoolers of various age backgrounds, lol. @@gabrock55 this unit is basically a 24 track recorder digitaly I called tape machines or Dawes. Most, this does not have preamps or panning knobs or any kind of gain stage control. That’s why whatever system you have this can just plug right in. If you had a rehearsal room and you’ve got a few mics on the drums, guitars and vocals bass, you can connect this to the console and record. It’s simplicity and affordability is it just records.
