You should definitely watch Venom 3, and don't bother with 1 and 2 either. I went into that film, in theatres god help me, blind. I am a spiderman fan in general but never gave any of this stuff my money until I had nothing better to do when my brother visited. I have seen Madame Web, and it is genuinely terrible but also hilarious. Venom was similar, and perhaps it is the fact that I was locked in a theater unable to pause and digest, but it somehow felt far far less competent or logical than even Madame Web. After the movie was over, my brother told me his favorite part of the movie was my face locked in confused disbelief. But the ending of that movie, I stand by as one of the worst most embarrassingly hilarious things ever produced...not least because it was meant to be dead serious and dramatic...leaving me to assume actual narcissists directed it and thought it was good. I could not stop laughing. At least I recall sortof getting the vibe that the people involved in Madame Web didn't really give a shit. But Venom 3 genuinely tried to make the audience cry.

I think the writers have realized that there is too much material coming out that needs to be considered to write a movie in this phase of the MCU. Currently there is something like 20+ movies and shows in phase 4 alone, all coming out in the span of about 4 years.
