Dressing modestly is one thing, wearing a uniform is another. The questions come from the uniform not modesty (usually)

No shade, you girls aren't ugly but respectfully, I get Children of The Corn from you guys. The 1st girl has that natural beauty that comes with youth, 2nd girl is as plain as paper but pretty as a flower, the 3rd is lovely & the last girl is simply cute, but if you were to add just some simple undetectable upgrades like a few wispy lashes, some curls or layers in your hair, & a pinch of blush, you all would be absolutely gorgeous! And then you’d understand why women wear those thing even though they're already beautiful. I promise if yall were to get a mini little makeover and I mean just the most basic one you all wouldn't be able to go back to these looks.

Black women do know they dont NEED to wear those things & most black women they're beautiful but they wear those things because it gives us that extra glow which gives us that extra confidence boost. Most of us wear lashes and extensions that are just enough to make you wonder if it's fake or real. Think, Lauren London, Aaliyah, Tyla, Nia long, & the likes of, they all wear lashes, weaves, nails, all the things you guys just named but they still look like themselves.

Ladies just because a woman wears wigs, makeup, and fake lashes does not mean they do not love themselves. It's a part of being done up. Black women like to look done up everywhere they go and wigs, makeup, and fake lashes does that. Black girl magic is being able to elevate yourself and feel confident no matter what you have on and no matter what anyone thinks. That means we could wear wigs, makeup, and fake lashes and love ourselves even if people tell us we look "fake" or "our beauty is not real." It's our choice what we put on our bodies and just because we do something doesn't mean that we do it for anyone's approval.
