I bought one early on and it’s very comfortable to shoot. Unfortunately I experience ongoing stove pipe jams about every 40 rounds using approved Winchester white box 9mm ammo. I have returned the gun for service a half dozen times and jams persist even though I clean the gun regularly and shoot with a stiff wrist.

Hows the recoil and reliability??
@FieldStrip357
@FieldStrip357 8 күн бұрын
For such a short barrel and in 45 acp, very manageable. As far as reliability, I’ve never had a jam. But I’ve also only shot the good stuff through it. White box and defense loads.

I usually Supplement the cleaning with some light ceramic gun oil when it’s needed. What do you use?
@buckshotaaa
@buckshotaaa 12 күн бұрын
That's not a bad regime at all but don't forget to put a little light grease on the hinge pin, very important with a shotgun like a Browning that has a full width hinge pin with a large bearing surface. A pair of cotton gloves is a good idea also when wiping down with a little light oil to ensure no finger marks are left on the steel prior to storage.

Great video, also the trigger is match grade and the build quality is better than any other maker imo... beautiful craftsmanship. Lastly Kimber doesn't recommend using 115grain in the micros..I only use 124gr. Best trigger in this category as well...have a good one.

I have a 1911 with the 22 conversion. Shoots great until you get a 100 rounds through it. Then it jams every time. I have been using the cci clean ammo. BTW, the ACE is slightly different than the conversion.
@DK-gy7ll
@DK-gy7ll 14 күн бұрын
The first ACE (the one filmed here) did not have the floating chamber. You can improve reliability of the floating chamber guns by 1) polishing the contact points with some Mothers' paste, and 2) making sure to oil or grease the floating chamber prior to use. Both will help retard carbon buildup and make them run longer.

Never understood why the Stevens trench guns had smooth forearms. You'd think having the grooves in a combat environment would be necessary.

Coincidentally I had to cancel the layaway on what would of been my impulse buy Model 1884 Springfield Trapdoor at a Value Pawn the day before you uploaded this video. One of the "ears" on the traditional rear sight was broken off. I found that the replacement rear sight would of been around $300 to replace. When I canceled the layaway because of this, the gun being $1,400, and there being a ramp and no front sight on the barrel, the manager tried to dissuade me from doing so. He told me that all I had to do was get the flat spring for the rear sight (something not mentioned to me when I put it on layaway) and told me that the reason I could not find a model 1884 front sight to fit on that anachronistic ramp was because they integrated the ramp into the barrel on the Springfield Trapdoors in the 1920s and 1930s! A quick Google search would reveal that production ended in 1893. I got screwed out of $150, but I found a much better looking 1884 with period correct front sight ramp on the barrel for under $700 on GunBroker.

I think your hand Would get beat up less if you didn't stage the trigger. Your trigger pull at 8:12 of the video was just about right on trigger pull through. The Remington HTP is nasty carry loads. My favorite.
