i bowl from a wheelchair, how far out should I loft the ball? how would i know which way to move if needed?

I'm no expert, but a typical loft is 12-24 inches past the foul line. And the easiest rule I ever learned is: Miss Left Move Left, Miss Right Move Right, but only do so a couple boards at a time, while you calibrate your Strike shot. Hope this helps.

Nice tips but you are playing a part of the lane most league bowlers never play. Show us how to handle dry lanes when we are rolling directly up the 7/8 board which is how most house shot bowlers bowl.

You shouldn’t be playing on those boards in league as that’s usually not the ideal line to score high or strike high.

@@TraumaER Not everyone is a modern bowler who can swing the lane. Most are just normal straight bowlers. So how should they best play a house shot?

@@nordattack10 board is ideal. However today’s modern reactive will often over hook on THS if playing straight on. Bowling isn’t like that now unless you are on a longer pattern, challenge shot, have low revs, or have high ball speed. Most leagues don’t put more than light/medium oil patterns. Additionally, playing straight gives you less margin for error than if you started more inside.

@@TraumaER I am a Classic 1960's Full Roller. Because I have zero tilt and a forward release I cannot go around the lane. So straight is all I have.

@@nordattackprobably stick to solid reactives with strong cores. It will read lane earlier and hold the line to some extent. What most people including me have done is go polished and leave a bunch of splits as it turns too quickly at the end do to the over under reaction.
