What do you think about Leasing beats. Is this a no no? Maybe others could use a video response about this

2025 is the year I’m gonna step out and try to make content as a professional makeup artist. My community is oversaturated and I refuse to conform to what a lot of the beauty gurus look like and act like but then I just get discouraged. This is solid advice, I’m gonna try to apply this.! Thank you 🖤

This is great for me and my ADHD lol on my Spotify I streamed your music like 38 days in a row 😬😅I’m like oh wow ok 🙃 this video makes a lot sense because yeah I played everything on repeat because it’s so short and fire😂😂😂 I feel a little tricked, but it’s fine ☠️😂

It took a little extra work but I learned to make my own beats and mix / master myself so it is all on me now

only thing I don't agree with is think about the content before the song. Writing songs its such an emotional thing I feel like that magic of it would be taken away. People are smart and want something more real. The creativity is still important and the emotion that comes from art itself. the business mind comes after or during visual creation. you can also be creative with the business side after writing the song. It'll be harder but more authentic. I guess it depends on how you morally stand with creating music.

Read your book January 1st last year and it changed everything for me. Started last year with like 100 montly listeners now I went up to 20k, even reaching 45k at some point. All because of consistent effort and posting, didn't even go viral but at some point in October the Spotify algorithm started pushing some of my songs out. Really grateful for all your advice

Watching this the day after TikTok’s back and I just started it and I’m still so excited. I’m so pumped that you made a video for this. Appreciate all you do, man.

Just finished listening I’m so glad that for the past four years I have been posting all of my videos on all platforms ones and keeping them very organized in their own albums on my iPhone. The more organized you are the easier it is to pivot and take advantage of all these platforms.

I agree with you Nick. But don’t sleep on Rednote. I started the account last week and got 1800 followers, multiple people sending me screenshots of streaming my music, 11k views, 1845 likes and 100’s of comments on my second video and I’ve been having at least 50 notifications every time I log on. So far, it’s working way better for me than TikTok. Appreciate you and all the info you give out bro.

I think this a great learning lesson for all artists/business that strictly work from Tik Tok. You need to eliminate single channel risk. (Only tik tok) post on all platforms.

Glad you're back Nic. Just discovered you and Connor about a month ago and have been diving deep into independent artist strategy. TikTok is back but Capcut is still gone. What editing platform do you guys use? I'm having to switch to Adobe Express

Make a video on making high quality content that leads to a lot of engagement and the thought process that goes into the content you’ve made that’s done the best for you! Big fan of your work - got your book and implementing your strategies as we speak

Basically everyone went to rednote. Nobody wants to go to reels and shorts. The algorithm sucks and everyone knows it. Unless they change that, then sure.

Hi Nic fellow artist/producer. I read your book multiple times and I would like to see your songwriting process. I know you mumble first then fill in the words, but I would like to see how you come up with the words or what we can do to get better at writing lyrics. (Trying not to overthink it)

Would love a video on your views on ads. Also, what would you do in my situation: I'm from Denmark, I make music in danish and there's about 6 million native speaking Danish people. 1,3 mil on TikTok and about 2,4 mil on Instagram. Since the pool of people is so small to build a fanbase, what would you apply to your strategy to grow as an independent artist in my situation?
