Thanks Nic. I loved the comments of 100 people in a room. We are all so desensitized. Take care.

Thanks a lot Nic! Feel like I’m okay at the music making part, but I struggle a lot with the content creation. Will definitely try these tips out!

I love it, Nic. Keep it up. You’ve been really helpful for me. I think trying to just be yourself instead of all the gimmicks is what you are teaching also and that seems to work so much better.

I really appreciate your video and the way you encourage indie artists to run their own race. Not aiming for curated playlists, but seeing it more as a bonus. I'm a Swedish indie pop artist trying to make it work, and I can really feel a sense of calm from this type of video. Less stress, run your race! Best regards Daniel Arteaga

Hi Nic, Man, you could not have come a moment too soon. I’ve been struggling trying to get my songs heard for the past year and I’ve worked so hard, and I’ve been learning so so much but I was starting to feel like this was never gonna happen for me. I see actual genius in this advice you are giving us and I thank you for it. Props from San Diego.

Imo I think you're both right. I think in the beginning you shouldn't drop songs frequently. I think once you got a good amount of fans and success in your music, only then I think you should be more frequently. Just my 2 cents.

Nick …spot on mate ,all those guru’s 6 week plan to release 1 song ..that is so old school !! Get all your songs released as soon as possible , have a full catalogue of songs released then create the content to promote your catalogue of songs ..makes so much sense to do it that way 👍

Nic, I wrote a song in 2018 called "I been hot" . You wrote a song called "Still Hot". Looks like it came out in 2023. I plan to release the song after many years of hard drive hustle. I hope that this in not infringing since the song was written prior to your release?

Let me see if my week of video watching has put the right ideas in my head: 1. Start a LLC to form your own record company. 2. Register every song with the U.S. copyright office to secure legal rights. 3. Distribution? There's Distrokid, Spotify, Emubands, Odysee, TikTok, KZbin, Bitchute, and many more places online. Distrokid gets it out everywhere, right? 4. Need a PRO to gather profits in your country, and something like SongTrust to gather international profits. 5. Need a website for your band & music, along with a mailing list to keep subscribers updated on new releases & merch, etc. 6. I'm not sure where to go from here.... promotion on social media? Sending CDs to local radio stations?

It depends on your target audience. Knowing your target audience is important. If a musician that is known to be a virtuoso on their instrument would use your technique, the people who listen to that kind of music would very quickly stop being fans because they expect the best quality over content thats just quantity.
