Its a really strange subset as its basically all released as a big meme. Find some of the worst games and put them out in limited quantities, next step, Profit. definitely the maddest set I've ever gone for when collecting and strangely the first one to finish, even though for the price of these I could have finished a couple others. Thats the big problem, meal deals are just too accessible, almost everywhere does one. Its scary when you start to tally it up.

This is the way to think about it, It brought me joy and actually enjoyed the challenge. It was fun to watch it add up and know I was getting closer to having something I had coveted for so many years. Luckily I've only got a dog that digs into the wallet but when she needs something its always an insane outlay.

Cheers man, thats high praise. It was tough got a good amount of stomach cramps going for it but feel it was worth it.. Had breakfast the other day, it was glorious.

When your buying the pricey stuff there is always the risk of it dropping, but I dont try to focus on the value I just want the game. The only time the value comes into play is before its in my hand, with something like this. I didn't plan on using any of the money when I wasn't at work, it was never counted for my standard days off. Over the Christmas period I was meant to be at work but it was changed last minute so I planned on using the same amount of money to keep myself going over Christmas but not include it in the total or use it. When I didn't spend anything and I had such a good offer on the plate I had to break that rule and I'm glad I did.

The only way someone is getting this off me is prying it from my cold dead hands haha

@@uppernimbus it's definitely one that flew under most people's radar, but been after it forever. Even asked the games developer if he had a copy once. Apparently he wanted one haha

Yeah just think what you could grab after a month or 2 of that, but dropping the caffeine is a killer. had a headache for about 2 weeks straight. Would love to see other people grabbing their holy grails just by cutting out a few small bits

@ I don’t know if I’d have the patience to video it all mate but great video, I’ve never heard of that game myself I thought it was going to be poop slinger but then found out you already had it! Great collection!

@@Waynesworldofgaming if I didn't already have poop slinger there's no way I would have attempted the set. I was able to get that luckily around lockdown as I didn't have hardly any outgoings and selling the odd bit from the collection was super quick and easy.

@@retroimportgamer513 it's scary when you actually look into what's being spent. To be honest I did think about going for something mega cd when I initially thought of the challenge but most of the games there were more readily available, which sounds mad to say haha

@@steve36207 luckily it's one not too many people know about otherwise I could see it becoming impossible to track down. There's very few copies available ever for purchase. It spent a good year or so without any available on eBay. I would have went ginsters but in the only local shop near my work that sells them they are over priced

@@jeremiahbrewer6115 luckily their more recent releases are quite readily available at the moment, but yeah the actual act of navigating and using their site is a nightmare. I wouldn't bother opening any of them as they are so cheap digitally. Apart from Reydllom, I don't think it has a digital release anymore and strangely the physical doesn't support trophies from what I've heard.

@@claygraphics1 had to keep people guessing. To be honest retro would be the first thing to spring to mind when it comes to a big hitter but I have the majority of the big hitting retro I'm after. Luckily back from when they were affordable. A full English is most definitely on the cards haha

It is crazy to think a game for such a recent system can be like this but it's the crazy limited print market again. I imagine the people who released this are sat on a bunch of them for a big payday 10 years down the line.

I've tried before to save like this but it was the moving the money to another account and doing it daily when I didn't spend something which spurred it on as it looked like constant progress. Especially when it was a day I saved over what i was normally. I'd say give it a go and see what you save, my thought was its money that would have already been spent so it was guilt free... although I did feel a little sick pressing the pay button.

I dont think ill be beating that pickup for a couple years to come, but yeah it really is just some stuff for a shelf that most people wouldn't look twice at

Yeah was shocked at how quick it racked up, but then it just made me realise how long I had just been wasting money for. Trust me a CIB earthbound is one day on the cards, but if I was aiming for big retro card it would have to be the PAL Primal Rage 32x game. Only so I can say I got it back in the collection and not sell it again like an idiot. The newer stuff really is a hard sell when it gets to these prices, it only takes a reprint to ruin it, but then again its all part of the fun.

Yeah I honestly thought it was going to be a way longer timeframe, but I guess it was right place at the right time as with that amount of money knocked off I had to jump on it, Especially with ebay increasing fees for buyers soon, that would have added a hefty chunk on top. Thanks, its the first subset I've actually knocked off I think, most of the others I get close then leave all the cheap stuff haha
