Those scanning dots and how you utilize those. I’m interested in knowing the nerd-level details on that. I intentionally bought an iPhone and an iPad with LiDar in hopes of 3D scanning for 3D printing, but I haven’t had a chance to delve into it much yet.
@EndMotive29 күн бұрын
The dots are included with the scanner, I can buy more once I run out though. They can just be randomly placed and as long as there is I think 5 within the viewing window of the scanner, it can keep tracking. I do a bunch of my scanning on a 2' square board that I stuck a bunch of the dots on as well as some 3d printed pyramids with the dots stuck to them. I can move the pyramids around between scans and it does not require the use of additional dots(markers) on the part I am actually scanning.

Holy Moly It was this simple of a fix? After many years of just cranking up the volume and having dealers/mechanics say I’m imagining things, or telling me it’s the suspension and they can do an upgrade, when I know it was not anything abut the suspension it was the hood latch Man, thank you so much Although I must say now it’s kinda weird driving without it lol

@EndMotive2 ай бұрын
@amirrm8 after sanding it smooth I just use SEM texture spray. I have a link to it in the description!
@deepwebcowboy66812 ай бұрын
Better? Yeah probably a higher quality part, in fact most likely. But I would like to know what you ended up in cost difference. I would imagine (and this is assuming that you made one of these) that it is the difference between a $4.50 part and a $34 part (and I am assuming that we already owned the 3D printers in both instances as a cheap FDM printer and a cheap SLA printer are roughly the same cost)
@EndMotive2 ай бұрын
The cost between printing or casting is no comparison, the printed part will be way cheaper. However, I made these to sell. I was able to produce a nicer, higher quality part in a fraction of the time. All said and done it probably cost $60+ in supplies to get started.
