Can you imagine still believing Jonathan was the better vocalist after hearing all 30+ live tracks in high fidelity featuring arguably the best vocalist in metal, Mike Lessard? I cannot. The gulf is so astonishingly gigantic and it’s so rare that there’s such a stark difference in talent from one to another.

I remember getting to actually see them the first time open for Between the Buried and Me in like 2017 and was already a fan of The Contortionist, but I was genuinely blown away by how good their performance was. Like holy shit blown the fuck away. BTBAM is always amazing and I love their entire discography, but it felt like TC stole the fucking show and normally it's like if BTBAM plays I'm usually super biased towards that experience being kind of the highlight. I'd seen them a handful of times before I'd ever seen TC. But yeah their live sound man it's like being consumed by that synth I swear. Michael is goddamn incredible live. I'd never been a "this is my single favorite band" guy, but if I had to pick one it's prob The Contortionist.
