@@JonasSyver the cables sticking out of that box were both black, without redoing the video, you can’t change that fact. Not ideal in a polarity sensitive situation.

It has a mppt charge controller inside so this will do a great job maintaining a charge, but any lower than a 20w panel would be really really slow. Thanks for the comment👍

Thanks. Don’t think I said this was going to be a full teardown🤔 because of the way the pack was stuck in the box. There was no way for me to take the pack out without destroying the box. I tested for low temp because this company claimes they have it in their batteries. I think I said that in the video😊

@@frikadellenkind pouch cells are thinner and lighter, but more fragile. For a stationary system they will work great. Prismatic cells are more durable and would be my choice for things like RV,campervans and boats. It all depends on the quality of the batterybuild in my opinion.

@@frikadellenkind I really don't think you will have any problems using it in a campervan. The overall build quality of the battery is ok. Insulation foam secures the batterypack well. So for the price, you get a decent battery that works as far as I can tell. I say go for it if you are on a budget.

I agree that it was a good thing to cut the charge and discharge at the voltages it did, however, If I had a BT controlled bms, I could have set the parameters to do a full capacity test of the battery. Anyway the battery works fine👌🏻 thank you. Really nice inputs👍

Thank you. I don’t have a garden right now, but maybe in the future. In my experience the smell starts once you introduce moisture into the mix. And it makes for easier disposal if the bag consists of only «dry» waste.

No. It’s a 2,5mm plastic sheet/plate. Originally used for mounting on drywall behind hospitalbeds etc.

Agreed. An ANL type fuse is a good idea. I have a DC breaker closer to the battery. As for the disconnect on the panels. An isolator is a good idea👍 but right now the array is so small I did not bother with it. Thank you for your input👌🏻

Yes. When connecting, Connect the battery first and then the solar panels.

@@JonasSyver Let me rephrase my question again. The charge controller is shown connected to the inverter. Should it be connected to the battery? Then the battery is connected to the inverter?

@@deanhenthorn1890 both inverter and charge controller are connected to the battery at the inverter terminals. You could run a separate cable from the charge controller to the battery, but there is no need as they are both connected

I have a Growatt 3000 24v on one system with 2400watts of solar. The other system is sigineer 6000w 24v inverter with victron MPPT with 2000w of solar and 600ah battery.

@@JonasSyver I got it to use with the grid. I have two automatic transfer switches that go from inverter to grid when the batteries get low. And yes the Growatt has been perfect so far.

@@JonasSyver The sigineer is a split phase so I can do 120/240. Since I am in American I made 2 3000watt 120v lines and an outlet for 240 if need be.
