For your macros, if you just put #showtooltip on the first line, it will always auto pick the correct icon and tooltip will be max rank

A bit late to the show but i am trying to heal with hpal. At lvl 80 what holy light are you using i feel like im oom after like 10 casts. Also which bubble/spell is used for bubble sac?

Sometimes this happens to me in RDF if you heal someone that is flagged for pvp it won't copy to the beacon. Something with being flagged for pvp causes issues

Tank should be focus /targetfocus /cast [@targetoftarget] Judgement of Light /cast Judgement of Light (this will cast even if no focus)

Great guide, thank you! I've been leveling an Hpala, but I admittedly am a bit timid in running her through dungeons since I have healed as rshaman, rdruid and hpriest in the past, and those are all very different in their mechanics to the hpala, especially with Hands, etc that the hpala has. Knowing when to use what is an interesting one to figure out!. How do you feel about using something like Healbot addon instead of all the mouseover macros? I've not really tried mouseovers, so it's a learning curve for me.

I don’t know what you have done since your post, but as a fellow 6k GS resto Druid I understand your concern with add ons and such. I am pretty quick with keybinds and macro abilities so using grid or clique is very nice for ez mode, but I am so used to the wow interface that I would literally hurt my purple parses by switching. I am also used to PvP healing so having arena macros are my bread and butter. People play differently and utilize their keyboards in their own way. My Paladin healer is no different. I do enjoy mouse over macros but what I don’t like is when things go bad and ai have to “click” on a specific targets nameplates to hit them with a BoP or another helpful ability I would have to modify another shift macro for it. I am usually at the top of the meters with over 10k healing in ICC with my style so changing it at this point would be like quitting a job to start a new one. What I am saying is if you are doing well with what you currently got keep running with it. If you are doing terrible then look into a helpful add on to get those numbers and parses up. Most of all have fun playing the game.

So on Holy Paladin I don't believe that you can. At least not with the spec I'm running. There is a protection paladin talent that will allow for this. You can use divine plea and it will refresh on melee attacks. Very useful when you combine it with the glyph that makes u take 3% less dmg while divine plea is active. editing this to specify that this is for tanking.

Actually if you have a resto druid, their regens easily compensate the 10 man for the 10% health debuff. Wow, using a class other than pali and priest to heal...crazy right?

No, resto druids are good! We run 2 hpals, 1 disc priest, 1 r shaman, and 1 r druid in our 25m. Our R Druid is a beast and could def solo heal 10m if he tried, I bet. Tree druid underrated. Sorry if I gave the impression in the video that they couldn't do it or something!

@@linqwow No you didn't in the video. It is just an overall impression I get in game. Whenever I see raid adverts they just want those 2 classes. Resto Druid came into its own in TBC, and I can put out MAD heals. The regens are freaking awesome. Resto just is not a "1 button" healing class, which I love. It reminds me of Bard in EQ. Always got to have those fingers moving 8)

@@user-ze2mg2hb4d Yes Resto Druid has to be one of the most fun healers to play. Lots of buttons to press and the HoTs are really interesting alongside Nourish + Swiftmend. I really like it. Also very fun to blanket the raid in rejuvenations. I have only played a liiiiitle bit of EQ2 (I was a dwarf... warrior? or Berserker or something that meleed) but part of me hopes we see EQ3 one day. I always hear that EQ basically inspired WoW.

Using Clique a bit now to setup mouseover macros easier, but also Fojji weakaura, Bartender, DBM, Threatplates, and TacoTip. The raid frames here are actually a default setting in WoW for raid frames. You can click the arrow next to the frames and change them to raid frames, but I would also suggest moving them to the center of your screen. I've done that since this video and its helped me out a lot since I can see what I'm standing in and continue healing the group. Hope that helps :)

My OG guild that I ran with since MC disbanded week 2 of ToGC, did clear it on HC tho and I had a horrible time. Then after we disbanded and I took a week off, managed to find a new guild and things flipped. Now I kinda like this patch, it’s pretty nice. Soon everyone has their flares too so we can do vez normal lmao

If you're doing normal mode ToGC 10M you could probably get into a group around 4k-4.5k gearscore. If you want to do heroic 4.5k-5k would probably let you into both 10m and 25m heroic runs I think, but this depends on your server :) Its a relatively easy raid so people are willing to put up with lower gearscore compared to Ulduar groups. PvP trinket is only good for faction champions if you need to escape a CC or something like that. Otherwise you will want to keep your dps trinket on during the raid. If you don't have a pvp trinket (and ur not human for the racial ability) then thats okay, you should still be fine on faction champions without it. Hopefully that helps :) Ty for watching <3

i don't know how long this phase is supposed to last, but at this point i think it should only be like 9 more weeks. i feel like both of my raiding toons have like full bis minus the regalia. there is no challenge really apart from having your healers know how to do anub. hopefully icc is a bit tougher than this lame phase.

I have heard that ICC and Heroic ICC are wayyyyy tougher than ToGC but I can't say for certain! ToGC is definitely considered one of the easiest raids ever, even when it originally released. Hopefully ICC is more fun!

It's harder than most expected I think. My guild killed algalon during prog, but has struggled with Heroic Anub.

Same here! I think the leeching swarm mechanic and cleaving the adds takes some finesse. Algalon honestly doesnt feel too bad once people know how to move for cosmics and soak big bangs. Algalon still my favorite fight in classic so far though!

So a fresh 80 can basically spam ToC 5 man normals to get geared for h++ farm (with some VoA) , then into ToGC 10 man normals? Skipping Ulduar altogether for the most part?

Absolutely! I would say buy cheap boe items from AH for item level > Wintergrasp to get some honor gear for ivl > get into some ToC 5 man normals (200 ilvl loot) > H++ and VoA. You can definitely skip ulduar now and ToGC groups should be easier to find / get into, especially if the group is doing normal modes.
