One of my biggest issues that I've seen on my server is that there's no virtually no non-GDKP pugging scene to initally gear up. Most of the guilds I've sought out end up expecting you to come with raid consume, enchants, and gear but will do nothing to assist an aspiring player. I don't have a robust friend network nor an army of alts to print the gold needed to hit that minimal viable gear check and it's hella frustrating

What server are you on? It might just be the circle of players I found on Grobbulus but a lot of people agree that roster boss is the hardest boss. Normally if we can get all 25 people to show up on time then its a win. Having a reliable 25 members is important for progging and in one of my guilds we pug around half the 25man each week, leads to a lot of issues and we have been doing all normal modes in 25m since Ulduar launched :/ In all my time on Grobb I've only run 2 GDKPs I think, but mainly because I'm broke and all my gold comes from argent crusade dailies lol.

Make your own raids. I was also the person who couldn't find a group and always found the gatekeeping frustrating but if you make your own groups, you set the rules. It's more effort but it's worth it. Ive had a lot of groups where I pretty much made people carry my under-geared alts (barley spent any gold on them btw) and they simply accepted that because I went through the trouble of bringing them all together.

GDKPs are evil and to be avoided. They help the gold sellers and their customers in money laundering schemes. You need to find a Casual Guild to gear up in (there are plenty out there) who will help you as a leveling guild.

I spent like 2 weeks looking for a guild for my druid and end up with no guild... most guilds were looking for pro player that had very good logs on ulduar or lf warlocks ... my gametime ended and i would not get another gametime looking for guilds or competing with bots for 2 weeks to save up for toxic gdkps... rip gehennas

Dude I played BC into Wrath but I got burned out after Uludar. I have played wow on and off for over a decade. The one thing that has always stuck with me is I never killed Lich king. I want to come back and play. Any chance you could point me to a guild or can I play with your guild? I'm a very experienced raider and can be a contributing member.

Depending on which class you want to play, I could easily get you a spot in The Crimson Guard. They are doing 10M hardmodes but not Algalon yet, and 25M is still all normal modes, so it might or might not be a good fit depending on if you want hardmodes off the bat. So that's an option for sure. Now outside of that, TONS of guilds are recruiting in trade chat and I mean toooons. Depending on what class you play you could be recruited and raid the same day / week. A guild geared my hunter from 4300 GS to 5k in 3 weeks of Ulduar 25m since there wasn't many people to scoop up the mail agility gear. Hopefully that helps :) If you are making a new character, def come to Grobbulus :D

@@linqwow I transfered off Grob for old blanchy because the que times were ridiculous. I do see alot of guilds posting on this server as well. I know you recommended hunter, priest and druid but do you think there is room fury Warriors or possibly Enhancement shamans? My main classes throughout the decade have been Shaman, Lock and Shadow Priest. LMK

@@jp301 Enhancement shamans are pretty rare and are needed in TONS of raid groups. I would highly suggest enhancement shaman over warrior (although this is just my opinion) because you will bring a LOT more to the raid as a shaman. Most guilds run only 1 fury warrior and normally have that raid spot full. I will say that if you ONLY want to play fury warrior and hated everything else, its totally possible to find a raid spot as a warrior. Shadow Priest and Warlock are also both extremely high value and if I had added a 5th class to this video, it would have easily been warlock. You can bring 5 warlocks to a 25m raid no problem at all. They are amazing. I have heard they don't scale as well as some other classes in ICC but you will be brought to every raid. Id say Shaman > Warlock = Shadow Priest > Warrior.... but thats going to vary depending on guild/raid group/faction/server and all of that. You will likely have an easier time gearing Shaman as its the least contested gear type. That's what I based a lot of my class picking video off of was how in demand the classes were + which you would be able to gear up easiest. But I would say pick which one you like the most, because you will find a raid spot on any of those classes, warrior being the hardest to find a spot on I'd think.

Really good video! I doubt Lichking 25 HC will be harder than Yogg 25 0 lights now unless they buff ICC. Even on Warmane Random Groups did LK 25 HC but not Yogg Zero. Let's see what blizzard will do :D

Thank you for saying that and thanks for watching! Is there a nerfed and pre-nerfed version of HC Lich King like there is in Ulduar? If so, hopefully they do go with the harder version! I am also a bit relieved to hear that Lich King won't be as difficult as I thought haha :) Although I still haven't down 0 light on 25man!

@@linqwow i don't think there is a nerfed lichking Version, i hope they will buff it. :) but if not it is okay, yogg 0 was pretty hard with the rng 😅 we killed him last night

@@linqwow Yogg0 was the hardest thing back in the days even when icc came out, so it's true... if they don't buff ICC then yogg25 zero lights will be the hardest thing what we have seen in classic wotlk :D haven't killed yogg0 too because my guild doesn't want to step up the difficulty that much just for the mount and prestige :(

@@maqqx337 Part of me feels like they won't buff ICC but who knows tbh, they've surprised me a few times so far! Yeahhh we have only killed Yogg 0 on 10M, not on 25M. Tried a few pulls in 1 guild and like 2 hours of prog in another but its pretty rough. I know some people in my guild are BEGGING to kill him on 25m for the mount haha. I dont blame them, but hopefully I win the mount ;)

No it’s actually never too late All you do is start with normal Contant and get as many pieces as you can then move to heroic and if you have gold it’s even better because you can buy loot in gdkps

I 100000% agree with this comment! It is never too late!! In fact with Phase 3 on the way it is such a good time to play WotLK. Getting my fleet of alts ready for H++ grinds :)
