Nice Job. I call it True Oil, you say Chew Oil. Either way nice process with great outcome. I did 8 stocks through the years and this works.

Is it true the 25cal is still having barrel issues?
@taariqmayet954713 күн бұрын
i watched both of your gun stock vids and i noticed you cut out the cheek riser near the end. would it not be better to cut the cheek riser out first ? white the stock is still a block of wood. That way your finishing and gaps can be finished tighter. Just keep the riser 100% closed through the whole process. Just a suggestion

Good video Sir, I’m looking for everything I can find on Yong Heng air pumps , the one I bought is literally identical to the one your fixing in the video. So far it’s worked well , but trying to top off a 60 minute Scott bottle yesterday and mine started leaking from around where the very top line comes out , I’m hoping it’s something simple, I’ve only put maybe 2 hours total run time on it. The temp has never rose above 60 degrees C, I love the YH air pump compared to the small Tuxing 4500 psi compressor I bought when I bought my rifle. It lasted about 45 days , a screw came loose in linkage between compressor unit and the electric motor, this caused linkage to bind up and broke the end of the motor shaft off. The YH cost 50 to 60 dollars more than those small compressors and it’s way faster , my rifle has .6 liter total storage space in two tanks , Yong Heng tops those 2 small tanks off in 3 1/2 minutes. Got to love that speed and having capability to fill large tanks is the best part. Tuxing makes a YH clone that’s colored yellow and black , otherwise it’s just like the blue colored YH , it is more expensive than the blue ones, looks interesting though.

So did you have a big change with FPS or foot lbs? That was a lot of work, for what the targets showed.

Nice result. I've got the same result with high gloss 2k acrylic lacquer spray can. Of course after sanding. I applied three layers. It is like glass and is scratch resistant. It aldo has uv protection. This lacquer is the professional lacquer also used for cars. You should really try it. After time you can restore the gloss with car wax/polish

At the end of the day, it is all about accuracy. You can send the pellets supersonic, but if they are not stable, they will not be accurate.

Don’t know if you’ve tried it yet but the armor all/ tru oil trick is 👍! You can actually finish it in one day and the finish is fantastic. An initial coat of armor all,wiped down, apply tru oil with fingers until it starts warming up, lightly sand with very fine paper or 0000 steel wool, wipe down and repeat the process, armor all/ tru oil until desired results. Fantastic finish. Saw this on rimfirecentral, it absolutely works.
