My dog [not a greyhound ] when I was visiting my brother she was starting to whine and fuss. So even just a simple towel was all that was needed!! She just wanted something a little softer than the bare floor. The rest of the visit went swimmingly !! (Bc it was too cold outside for us humans to hang out for hours in lol).

So sad. Looks like Olive's new friend is missing part of tail. Sometimes happen when grey is jammed into the racing chute before a race. Beautiful baby anyway!

Olive is such an adorable greyhound. Each grey has its very own personality & Olive is a real cutey. I love greyhound ears. Olive has such expressive ears. Exceptional breed. Miss mine so much.

Watched Olive stand in your bathroom head down zoned out... our Winston did this also. Took him to a Greyhound vet. We were told he was having mild Epilepsy seizures. Epilepsy often happens in Greyhounds. Winston was put on meds. They helped him for a couple of years. As our Winston grew older, his seizures grew to Grand mal seizures. Winston started eating less as his seizures progressed. Winston went from 94 lbs to 72 lbs in 2 months. Our Vet advised us to end his suffering. Winston was the best companion, loved to travel, loved all people and animals. Olive may just be ignoring you. But you may want to watch her as time passes. Love watching your videos. My ex-gf and I adopted a Great Pyrenees Malamute mix. She kept the dog. My parents then adopted a Malamute. And then my sister got a Malamute. My wife and I adopted a retired racing greyhound in 2020, and she is the best dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I don't think that we'll ever not have a greyhound. Such an amazing, gentle, sweet, loving breed. We do want to get a Newfoundland when we have the space for it but I guarantee we'll always have a greyhound.

I know it's an old video, but I got one for my chihuahuas a while back,(they've since passed away 😢😢)and they are hard to fit into a washing machine. That was a medium size. So I'd struggle to clean that for an even bigger dog. Shame it doesn't come with a zip and you can then just wash the cover.

It does have a zip and you take both the centre padding and the sausage shaped padding out and just wash the cover. When that is dry you put it all back in.

One of the greatest days of my life was picking up my first Greyhound from the adoption agency! I will never forget the way it changed me when I hugged my Greyhound for the first time.

She does leave burn patches sometimes, but I’ve found that using ‘dog rocks’ in her water bowl actually helps.

@@NataliePowellAGreytLife is that a product (dog rocks) you can buy? I’ve never heard of it. I have read of people following their dog around with a watering can and diluting the pee with water. EDIT - just googled it and found it in Bunnings. Thanks.

I have an exracer greyhound. I should take her to the beach and see how fast she runs. That video was so delightful to watch. Olive must have been so happy to have that freedom to run at the beach. 😂

Yes, Olive loves to run, but do make sure yours is not the type that will head for the hills and disappear as soon as they are unleashed. It may also be illegal where you are so bear that in mind as well. 😊
