How do they specifically design it to operate at -40 degrees? Or does it just happen to work? I’d like to know which specific internal parts make it special from any other camera.

What a wonderful hour+ of fantastic conversation with a truly great photographer. Meeting Gajan at a Cars and Coffee event last year, he is truly a humble, real human. Now I have to budget an upgrade from the sl2-s to this new tool.

That machine is an old fashioned bank calculator. I used one like this when I was working in a Leica store back in the early 1970s to calculate discounts and taxes. There’s a crank on the side and you turn it to arrive at the desired value.

Those images were not created by a leica, but by the photographer. The leica was the tool he used to achieve this.

Been waiting for my SL3 since launch. I know it's now available from major US retailers, but I prefer to do business locally here in the Twin Cities.

You talk a lot about the camera and how it render colors so good. How the colors and tonality looks when shooting dng mostly comes down to the raw profile applied in software C1/LR. So which profile do you talk about or are you referring to jpg? I use Lightroom and had to make my own profiles since either embedded or Adobe color is any good.

Are you gonna bring back features that been removed in the dlux 8 such as step zoom and allow us to define a default focal position on start or resume which are essential ? And fix the firmware bug in standard profile that don’t save the autofocus area settings or the power off delay due to Bluetooth ? It’s supposed to be a true Leica experience with this iteration but it looks Ike a truncated one ( where are the Leica looks , why cannot we custom the quick start menu ? )

That's good feedback. Thank you. What, in particular, would you want to know? I def want to give folks the kind of information they really want to know.

@ the workflow…he mentioned using a Q2 Mono, but what did he use for making color pictures? While it was very interesting hearing about the concept behind creating the “prayer books” it would have been valuable learning about his work flow via software, etc.
