You’re right that the slowest weapon is the best, but your reasoning for it is way off. Overpower, cleave, sweeping strikes, and deep wounds all do damage based on weapon damage. Slower weapon = higher weapon damage. That’s why the slow weapon is best. Nice guide, thanks.

"If you have a shaman friend" I dual boxed warrior/shaman for jump runs, scholomance, and gdkp raids. I think total I earned around 150k gold throughout my classic experience.

Its nice to see you back, but maaaan Gdkp is the most easily corrupted system and you see effects ripple even outside of the guild. It is good to remove it. It is significantly rare, where gdpk does not mess class balance up, makes good players into bad and lazy players and it screws with people's morales really fast. I agree there is no perfect system but dang did this video age poorly. Love you both, i hope to see more but lets not take words from the hate speech guy moving forward. I knows it months early, no worries.

Just completed this at lvl 23 solo on the new Classic Fresh (PVP) servers. The satisfaction is unreal. 😌

I'm playing the Fresh Hardcore as an Enhancement Shaman with a Fire Mage duo, and being his tank has been the most fun I've had in a long time. Earth Shock and Rockbiter keep threat while he's in fire spec doing maximum damage, I have totems to add utility and a full on AoE taunt (totem) when we're dealing with multiple enemies. Between Stoneclaw, Earth Shock and Rockbiter, I never lose threat on multiple enemies, and despite wearing leather and a two hander, I'm quite tanky and haven't had any close calls. It's been a fantastic time, and it makes me want to try Shaman tanking in SoD where they've tried to make it a real thing. It also makes me excited to get Mail and be even tankier.

From a pure DPS perspective, Rockbiter is more consistent damage, but if Windfury is letting you maintain flurry more because you're critting more, could that make up the difference in damage? I'm a big rockbiter fan and I see the pvp WF value, but I can see WF taking a lead if the flurry procs make a difference.

Funny listening to this post Classic in how they felt about Druid healers. They definitely performed quite well in capable hands and in many ways were on par with Priest and Shaman on all fronts in both tank and raid heals. But I guess we didn’t worry about pushing buffs off the table as some HC raids did so that helped.

Just want to say thank you for all your work on this back in 2019 its what pushed me to main shaman. Now im rewatching prepping for the classic classic launch. Your guides are best.
