I stayed in that exact same spot a couple months ago. Love Callie's, but they have this insane stadium light over the playground now that lights up the spot all night long!

How often do you camp in the this area? Are there usually a lot of people, or are you pretty safe to find a camp spot and be relatively undisturbed? Awesome video!
@CarlsonAdventures14 күн бұрын
@@GR8SALAD I camp in the area quite a bit. It’s within two hours from my house so it’s easy to get to. In the summer time there are a lot of people. There are a lot of trails to hike and established campsites but you can also get off trail and camp pretty much wherever you want.

I'm wondering if it's specifically has to be a smart water bottle in order to backflush? I know I can screw other brand water bottles to filter the other direction.
@CarlsonAdventures29 күн бұрын
It can be any bottle as long as the threads are the same.
@DisneyUpBoilerUp29 күн бұрын
@@CarlsonAdventures thanks. I haven't tried to backwash it yet, wasn't sure if I needed to go out and buy a smart water bottle specifically, lol. ☺️

I clip a camp blanket to my ember 2 with a mylar blanket between them. I've been comfortable down to twenty this way. If you try this, make sure the emergency blanket is between your quilts. You want your body heat to keep the emergency blanket warm to minimize condensation but you also don't want it touching you because it will conduct heat.

My son and I have done many miles along the knob stone over the years so I know all of those butt kicking ridges, valley's and hill climbs all too well. I'm not sure I would do any of those miles solo. There's just too many potential's for injuries. One of the most dangerous are the landscape timber pertruding spikes. Fall on one of those, and that's big trouble...especially if alone. Always best to have a companion on the long ones. I will say this, it takes a hardy person to make 20 plus on that trail, stay all night in the woods, and do it again the next day. Congratulations!
@CarlsonAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks, I agree it is a super challenging hike. Those spikes are certainly a danger. I do enjoy hiking with friends, I just didn’t have any willing to hike the trail with me at that time. Take care ✌️
