It’s time to start the second section of my Appalachian Trail section hike. This year I will be hiking from where I left off last year at Dicks Creek gap in Georgia and I will plan to finish at Fontana Dam North Carolina.

Love it! Always so exciting starting an adventure... especially an epic one! Best to knock out a beast of a day while you are still nice and fresh maybe. Its amazing how much energy Sugar Pastries can give you in the morning! ;-)

Awesome first day and crossing borders must have been awesome. That tree was awesome too. I see you stayed in the tent by the shelter and that looked good. 👍Did you stay warm enough?

GET IT SIR! I know the feeling of a full weeks food bag. I had 8 days after my 2nd resupply on the Sheltowee. I felt every once!

@CarlsonAdventures thank goodness I was dialed in and my pack only weighed 35lbs with water. Told myself self I could deal with it for a couple days and it would only get lighter 😆

That was the second section of the AT I completed this year. I also have the videos from 2022 when I started at Amicalola falls. It’s an amazing trail!

Man if it hadn’t been for the accident I’d be right there with you Brian. I love to hike but the legs don’t hold up to it anymore.
