You are so right about easing her into things. Like with Priest... you gotta set the early days. History is taught from the beginning not the middle. I get what people say about Painkiller. It's their true peak. Scott Travis on drums brought in a new, heavier sound. And it's damn glorious. The most important thing of it all... is passing along the great music to the newer generations. I had the luxury of seeing Stevie Ray live. I can't even put into words how it affected me. Thank you for passing the gift of music along.

You gotta give some love to Stevie Ray's contribution to David Bowie's "Let's Dance" album too.

"They don't know how to be bored"-That hit me, she's right. Boredom isn't a bad thing necessarily, having the room to find a way to alleviate that boredom is what helps people grow. Boredom got me into skateboarding. I needed something to fill that space. Throwing a tablet in a kid's face isn't helpful.

Your killing me.... Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley make up all the vocals on Alice in Chains. They're harmonizing is what makes Alice in chains sound like that. Please listen to ALL the songs.

I was lucky enough to see Warrant live in the late 90's at a small venue. I knew what a powerful voice Janie had when his mic went out, and you could still hear him over the music. He was an amazing singer.

From such a great start, they fell so far it's embarrassing. Vince just threw it all away, so sad. Their first 2 CDs are so crazy good and different from the stuff that followed.

Although I was a teen in the 80s, and enjoyed my MTV, New Wave, and nearly all of alt. rockers from Britain, it took me a while to warm up to Heart's new sound and image. Their 70s output was just so classic and revered, then they suddenly re-burst onto the scene all glammed up. Looking back, they really helped make the 80s, the 80s. And I think they had one of the best comebacks in rock history, this side of Tina Turner.
