Damn good reaction. This is a music video but the look on the little girl's face when she had to put the item back on the shelf went straight to my heart. Good job for a little child actress.

It was really because the Goodyear plant like waaaay too many other went to Mexico for cheaper labor. This is what America has come too thanks to the democrats and the tax rate that is beyond what any human should pay. 33 percent of my check goes too the government then they rape my bank account come tax time. Those who voted for them are the true folk to blame for the American dream becoming an American nightmare.

Loved your reaction to the video. Something to bear in mind, though, is these are the times when God brings us closer to Him, teaches us resilience, strength and tenacity, if we listen. I got creamed in a car wreck on company time and fired for getting hurt (totally illegal), screwed by workers comp, the attorneys and the settlement from the other driver. We went almost a year with no income, but God taught me to have humility and accept help and it came in droves from random people who God sent with groceries, utility bill money and love. That was the time in my life I learned to trust and depend on Him because He never fails, but He uses those times to hone His children to tempered steel.

This was the recession that started in 2008. My daughter lost her job, her house, and her car in one fell swoop. She was that girl passing out food at the grocery store. When that ended she took whatever she could find again and again but it made rent and such. I'm proud of both my children. My son took gig jobs teaching drums and worked at McDonald's to put his wife through college during this time as well

This made me cry...and this has been so real for so many people over the years. I have to admit, when the story first started about the plant closing, all I could think is that the company probably started manufacturing tires in China and selling them in Amazon. That's my angry, political side coming out, which is does more often than not lately...but the essence of the song is these beautiful, hard working people and the struggle in their lives. Great reaction 💕

I have not watched this reaction in a long while but I love this reaction Van Really this song explains country music to a T This what country music is all about Just living and supporting your family and thanking God for what he has blessed us all with and that’s LOVE This is the main reason I love country music Because it’s simply about life and Ronnie’s voice makes it so real This is a great video that everyone can learn a great deal from This is about taking care of your family no matter what you have to do and sometimes it might not seem like God is on your side and I don’t know why things like this happen to people Maybe it’s God’s way of testing your faith I don’t really know But I pray that Lord Jesus Christ touches everyone’s soul with this song Because without Jesus Christ We really don’t have anything but sadness and sorrow But the Lord has built a place for all of his children Where there want be anymore sadness or sorrow and all of God’s children will live forever more Thank you Van for telling people about Jesus Christ Man you are one of God’s disciples Man I think God wanted you to do your reaction channel for a reason and I think he choose you because you are a good man and I want to personally thank you for everything you have done to reach people and be the MAN and FATHER that you are God bless you and your family I would rather watch your videos than any other reaction channel I watch Because I know you are going to give it to us straight for what the song means to you Even if it means something different to others I appreciate how you break it down and say how it makes you feel I love ya man I feel like I personally know you even though I have never talked to you AGAIN THANK YOU VAN FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO

Manufacturing moved out of America due to extreme government regulations that made it so expensive for companies to do business here. They went to Mexico and Asia mostly and found out how cheap labor was there. Having made their product for pennies on the dollar, they then imported it to the states for FREE. Trump said 'hell, nah'. He told manufacturers to move back to the states and create jobs here or pay steep tariffs at the border/port. He also slashed regulations to make it possible for them to profit here in the states. That's how the record job numbers came about.
@rhondaallan46802 жыл бұрын
Sure did! All Obama could say was that it would take a wand to bring back all the manufacturing jobs back when all he had to do was cut taxes and regulations. Not that hard, if you're a Republican, but it pretty pert near kills a Democrat to even think about that since they love piling on taxes and regulations so they can have more and more control over our lives.

let not forget that bush left obama that economy. there were 750k a month losing jobs the day oboma was inaugurated obama cleaned the mess up and left trump with an economy that had 75 consecutive months of job before trump lost 10M jobs in his last year of office and left the economy and supply chain in chaos. biden was left to clean up trumps mess and now we have the strongest economy and one of the lowest inflation rates in the developed world. republican presidents always leave a troubled economy when they leave office and democrats have to rebuild it. 50m of the last 51m jobs created in our economy have been under democratic presidents. That’s why I say country music is the most real music on the planet It’s simply about peoples lives and things they have been through just to support your family Country music came from gospel music and that’s why it’s so relatable to people A bunch of people think country music is about getting drunk and losing their dog and sometimes it is But it means a lot more than that This is about real life and the struggle people go through just to make a living and if this song doesn’t make you feel some kind of way You don’t have any feelings The bank will take everything you have and throw you to the wolves If the government had not been ripping the American people for so long Everyone in this country should have plenty of money and a home to raise their children in These corrupt politicians should be ashamed of what they have done to this great nation My father worked for GM until he hurt his back and just before he passed away GM was only paying him about 600 dollars a month for at least 18 years of going to work every day My pop missed one day of work with GM and it was because it snowed so much It shut the whole south east down These large companies don’t care about their employees If they did they would have gave my father his full retirement He was on the job when he hurt his back and didn’t even sue GM for how bad they treated him after he got hurt on the job My father could do anything Run equipment drive big trucks and I learned everything I know from him I love ya Pop and I will see you again one day

Don’t apologize for speaking the truth and showing what a true father/family feels, you’re correct n saying only a bum wouldn’t understand or even care about what this song means. Truly great honest reaction and you do a great job showing how much empathy you have for others plus you understand yourself how important it truly is to real men and women to be able to put food on the table and be able to keep their families clothed no matter the season plus how children grow so fast and are always needing new shoes that fit or a warm coat that’ll fit them throughout the winter months.

There is a GREAT storytelling element of this song and i do love it (It's probably my favorite country song and is criminially underrated in terms of being reacted to here on YT). But...this song is about the financial crisis of 2008. If you think we have it bad now, it was the same level of inflation if not worse over 10 years ago, all due to corporate GREED. Imagine how that was...same prices...over TEN years ago. I know how it was but I was fortunate to land a recession proof job exactly one month before the economy collapsed at that time. We still haven't learned what side to be on.

Corporate greed (economic treason is what I call it), nothing else. We still need tires, if not more than ever, but I BET we are importing them from overseas now. The middle class has been squeezed for decades, the days of working in a factory, making products that AMERICAN companies invented, and being able to modestly provide for a family are almost over, and that’s when we will completely collapse. This is unsustainable. How did China become so wealthy? Economic Treason. Shame. This song made me cry.

If anybody doesn't understand why people supported trump, even through all his antics and BS and meanness, just watch this video. People have been through a lot in the last 20 years. White rural southerners are hardworking, proud people. We don't value formal education as much as hard work and real tangible skills. We come from countless generations of independent, rugged men and women. They simply want to stand on their own two feet and provide for their families. But that's been taken from them. The mills are torn down. The plants are quiet. The promise of success in America by the sweat of your brow and the strength of your back has been broken. I'm not saying it's right. Or wrong. But I am saying that people want a fair chance.
