@@NecromancerGarage Never heard of High Temp PETG but i can confirm PETG isnt good enough for a car interior. Bambu has a HF PETG maybe thats what this is? still ABS/ASA only for cars you can also use Nylon for the engine bay but in the ten years of making car parts PETG doesn last in a 140f car interior. Its unfortunate and PETG is probably my favorite material to print with.

Everyone should have a 3D printer, but along with the printer, you need basic CAD skills. Last night, I printed tray roller replacements for my dishwasher out of ASA but again you need a basic understanding of CAD to make some things and even if McMaster-Carr has the step files for a specific part number it doesn't mean it was drawn to be end product and often drew in the tolerances they needed to compensate for the manufacturing process they had planned.
@NecromancerGarage
@NecromancerGarage 4 ай бұрын

We haven't heard from you in a while, so I was worried that you left the FWD community. I love the idea, but have a couple questions: 1) Are these high impedance injectors, compared to our older low impedance one? 2) With the adapters, does the fuel rail end up at the same height as our old ones? 3) When you loaded the original MP tune, where did you get the values from? Did you modify someone's existing tune, or have to create all of the values from scratch?
@NecromancerGarage
@NecromancerGarage Жыл бұрын
Aye! Nope, still bashing things together. I'm actually working on another car at the moment, putting a 2.4L in my Rampage. As for the questions: 1. Correct. High vs the old low. 2. Fuel rail fits perfectly like stock 3. These values are from a very very old spreadsheet on the Internet that has a ton of different OEM injectors listed.

From all of my research, it is perfectly fine to run a high impedance injector on a low impedance injector driver, but definitely not the other way around. As for setting up MPTune, that's a whole other story. 😬I'm using a FTDI cable with an Ostrich 2.0 to tune the car, using BoostButton base tunes to build on.

I know this is an old video but maybe you’ll still respond. Building an 05. Was gonna swap the stock turbo with the bigger 05 from the manual WRX and STi’s but rethinking that now. Maybe just injectors, fuel pump, tune, maybe boost controller. Any thoughts and recommend any certain brands on the items I listed? This car build is for a KZbin channel. Not the build itself but we’re using the car for a couple videos. Brawn Stroman told us he had the neon turbo and was getting 400 hp to the wheels with the same turbo we have. I’m shooting for 300-325hp.

Tracking down an issue at the moment that I'm having a hard time troubleshoothing. Seems to be the car loses communication with the ECU, but I'm not sure if it's: 1. PCM losing power 2. The ECU failing 3. The Moates Ostrich messing up communication to the ECU 4. Some other random thing Once I get that figured out, I'll be doing a video on swapping to SRT-4 injectors, which should allow the car to breath a little more. Oh, and I still need to figure out what's going on with the wastegate, lol. It'll make 26psi all day at the moment, which is cool if I had the fuelling for it at the moment.

@@thefinalroman It's an eBay $100 shipped "50 trim" T04e turbo, so probably good to about 400hp. I bored the wastegate hole out to be virtually as big as the flapper. I've verified the gate opens exactly at 8psi on the bench, so either the gate is sometimes binding or something silly is going on.

Crazy seeing this thing run like that! An '89 Dodge Daytona was my first car back in 1998. The clear coat was even worn out the same patterns yours did. Trash paint.
