When they started to vilify the Sun and overuse sunscreen, it was one more reason for me to stop listening to the "powers that be". They aren't in it for me.

This wrestling mindset guy doesn't really get the concept. He needs to work on grasping Dr. Kruse consept.

It's about how well your muscles work together. Your body is as strong as your weakest muscle
@DanielBrough-b7h9 күн бұрын
I exercise twice daily, not for the purpose of building muscle, but to keep fit, move the lymphatic system, sweat out toxins, oxygenate my blood and get it pumping. I'm not at all bulky, but I do have muscles (trim and wiry basically). Am I at risk of over-exercising? I mean does this problem apply to me or only the guys who are body-building with bulky muscles?

The host of this interview is somewhat lost in the depth of this conversation. He isn't quite able to grasp Dr. Jack's complete concept. Get outside! Find ways to go out of your way to do EVERYTHING in our life OUTSIDE! Technology is our biological killer. Turn it off! And GO PLAY OUTSIDE!

The Kodokan Judo book is unfortunately not as much the pure thoughts of Kano, there were things edited and I think written by his senior students. I HIGHLY recommend the "Judo Memoirs of Jigoro Kano" book if you want something closer to his unfiltered translated thoughts. It's a collection of his writings and personal notes on martial arts from various points in time. So the material wasn't meant to be a coherent book but the material is directly from him.

Assistant High School Coach/Combat Vet here. I spent a lot of time last year trying to add a mental toughness aspect to the team. 1st trys were ok, but it seemed forced and so that left it not truly sinking in. In your opinion, should I seperate it from practices and perhaps do a weekend get together?
@winningmindset443213 күн бұрын
You can do both of course. You will need some direct work on mindset outside practice

I haven’t had alcohol since I was about 21 (I’m 33 now) I tend to just say “I’m alright for the minute” if someone offers- then I usually get myself a coke. If someone notices- they automatically assume it’s got vodka or some other spirits in it and no one bothers me. If people find that you’re not drinking- they tend to jam up and be really awkward. I tend not to mention it. Obviously my family knows. If we are out as a family and everyone is having cocktails- my dad usually will buy me a virgin cocktail so I can join in. It’s not a problem for me, it was when I was younger ( young adults tend to want to drink until they pass out and think those who aren’t drinking are “boring”) now I’m in my 30’s it’s a non-issue. 😊 I do think it is massively affected by the company you keep though. . .

I have a pretty high tolerance naturally so I’ve always had a three drink rule. If someone offers a fourth I generally will say something along the lines of “ah I’ve already had one too many, that one might get me hacking” it explains that I know my limit and keeps them from offering again later

I graduated HS in 1999, and I am still in touch with my wrestling teammates. I had a solid group of guys who pushed me to become better. I never won anything big in wrestling, but it pushed me physically and mentally in ways that other sports didn’t. Then this work ethic carried off into my personal life and into my military life. I’m thankful to the Lord for friends and teammates like them.
