All great advice!! It sounds though that you found your audience and customers primarily from your KZbin audience. That is something to consider for artists, not all are willing to do KZbin, but it is a place to really connect authentically with your customers and now collectors.

Dear Kayla... just starting watching your videos today. Dec. 30th 2024. . There is so much stuff to absorb, but I'll try take it all in. I am a retired 68 year old guy who has been using Prismacolor color pencils to illustrate classic cars, aircraft, and within the last year portraits of people. I Have been ussng sites like Fine Art America and Red Bubble to sell my art. I would love to start two things that you have talked about and looks like obviously done yourself. The KZbin and selling art live art shows. I have never attempted to do either before. I was always too busy doing a regular 8 hour a day job and selling my art just seemed like a random hobby at best. As a retiree on a budget, I really want to make my art work for me and generate some income. So thank you for your videos...I'll continue to watch as many as I can. Thank you. Brian Roland. My current web site address on FAA is: brian-roland.fineartamerica.com

Was really helpful. Thank you! Although...I'm still confused on a part of the shipping. Yes...they mail it out for you...but at what cost? Is that taken from the cost that you put on the retail side? So your 12.00$ profit isn't really a 12.00$ profit then? Correct? Sorry if that's a dumb question...I'm just confused. Trying to get a more solid understanding on all this dropship stuff before I open my Etsy account. Thanks in advance of your answer. :)

Kayla thanks for sharing your story. I'm a painter who enjoys coming up with paintings just out of the blue. It's very therapeutic for me. I've been trying to figure out how to sell my paintings and I've never been to an art show or tried to sell my paintings at a museum. I would love your input on how I could get started selling my paintings. Thank you

Thank you for the advice. I get to know the manager or owner of a business. I don't show art, I just show up with my sketch pad. It was busy once and a drawing of mine was secretly being drawn. I was in the back area and some dude saw everything. I was using 4h lead so he couldn't see what I was drawing until I started inking. Once I'm done, he comes up and tells me he had watched and was curious what it was since he couldn't see the 4H lead lol. But once it was finished he examines the picture and thinks it looks cool. Ahegao... looks awesome in person lol. I told him it was a joke for a certain person. He looks surprised and he's just like "the owner?!". I didn't know he was the owner. Still, took it and gave it to him as a joke but he liked it lol. The next day it was centered in the liquor rack... I was just laughing and every bartender said it was always getting compliments. Well it was stolen... the other two I drew and were placed in the bar as well. Also stolen... The owner gave me the thumbs up to sell my art there. (Long story but they never charge me for liquor) which makes me feel bad. So I'm making a custom for the venue with blue light and glow in the dark paint. My question. How many pieces should I make? What price do I make the drawings and what do I split with the venue? The owner of the only kratom shop in my city also gave me permission to sell my art there. Again, how many should I put up and price? There are both drawings and paintings. It's time to take those offers since my family needs money. It's time to take the offers and find other places I can put them. Advice from anyone who has done this or knows how to go about it?

I’ve known artists that did all that she says won’t work, they make a solid living especially painting fantasy art at Comic Cons around the country or folk art at markets. As long as they utilize social media and keep their contacts growing. I’m going to ignore her and this channel.
